À propos de ce logement
Beautiful corner property with views of the Plaza del Museo, in the center of Seville. All the rooms have windows and lovely views.
Positive energy is everywhere in this charming apartment, which has no less than six balconies overlooking the Museum of Fine Arts and letting in all the light that Seville has to offer.
The property is located on the third storey of a building which is over a hundred years old, with no lift, and with all the history and heritage of the city centre, proud neighbour of Spain’s second most important art gallery. Yes, sharing a street with such geniuses as Zurbarán or Murillo certainly adds points to this dream home.
Once inside, all is light and life. Natural sunlight floods the apartment, streaming in through the balconies and large windows to reach every corner of every room. The careful distribution of the rooms and choice of structural elements and details makes the whole house breathe. Simplicity is in the detail, in the clean lines of the design, the bright white walls and carpentry, the absence of cornices and superfluous ornaments. The polished cement floors and high ceilings afford an even greater sense of space, quiet and peaceful. This is what a well-earned rest is all about!
An entrance hallway leads the way into this perfect home: a living room, kitchen, three bedrooms and large bathroom.
The décor throughout shows impeccable taste, with a large dose of intuition and a fun and eclectic choice of furniture. Nordic design sits alongside traditional Spanish furniture, and antique pieces are dotted here and there. The result is a charming, chic and stylish mix which is not only suited to current lifestyles, but also makes you fall in love with the place.
The entrance hall has a cheerful wicker bench and a rustic-style coat rack. The living room, with two distinct areas, comes to life with colourful and very decorative pieces, such as an Isabelline-style sofa upholstered in theatrical red and the contemporary painting on the wall, providing a comfortable and stage-like reading area. The sitting area is furnished with two comfy sofas, a vintage leather chair and some modern auxiliary pieces of furniture which contrast good-humouredly with a marble chimney surround in modernist style. The hemp carpet and natural textiles afford a Mediterranean touch, and the family pictures give the room a unique, personal style.
Then we have the bright white, modern and functional kitchen, mellowed by the furniture in the adjacent dining room, which has a pretty Spanish-style wooden dining table for 6, and Nordic-type chairs. The miniature works of art and oriental carpets on the walls and floors show dynamism and add colour to the rooms.
Peace and quiet and privacy are guaranteed, as the apartment is fitted with high quality windows, doors and sound insulation, with double glazing and the characteristic shutter windows typical in traditional Sevilian architecture.
The sleeping area has three bedrooms: two doubles and a single, all stylish but simple. There are a total of five beds, one of which is a trundle bed, meaning that the apartment sleeps up to 6 people.
The first double bedroom has two beds, two balconies overlooking the street, and a romantic touch, with a large built-in wardrobe, bedside tables and little dressing benches.
The second bedroom likewise has a balcony, two single beds and some auxiliary furniture.
The third bedroom is equipped with a pretty trundle bed. And in keeping with the rest of the house, it has a balcony with wrought iron railings overlooking the street.
The apartment has a large bathroom with a bath, double basin and quality sanitary ware, all decorated with a great eye to detail, with stucco walls.
Plaza del Museo is exceptionally located in the very heart of Seville, next to the Museum of Fine Arts, a must if you want to see the legacy of some of the greatest Spanish painters and other baroque treasures. It is only a few steps away from the Plaza del Duque and the main commercial streets in the centre of town (Sierpes and Tetuán), an area which is especially important during Easter Week. And only a 10 minute walk from the city’s most important highlights, the historic centre and the Guadalquivir river, with a wealth of great bars, restaurants and shops, and well communicated with the rest of the city by bus, taxi or tram.

Home at Homes was created by two people: Karin Wallis, half English and half Swedish has lived most of her life in Madrid and Nono de Barco, 100% Sevillano down to the marrow, has lived in Seville all of his life. We created Home at Homes as we wish to do something different: take peoples charming homes and transform them into rentals, keeping the magic and charm the owners created when they built their home but at the same time making it comfortable and adequate for our clients such as giving them plenty of empty cupboard space, ensuring the only food in the fridge is the one of our welcome hamper and making sure everything is working correctly and is sparkling clean so that when you arrive, the property will feel like instant home to you too. There are no two properties alike, nor are there two guest exactly alike but we do trust we will have the right home for you.
