À propos de ce logement
Modern w/ AC, spacious & bright basement suite (8ft ceilings) ft. private entrance, washroom & space for 2 queen beds. You have sole access to the entire level which also includes a tv room (50in & Netflix) & laundry. Current kitchen amenities: table/chairs, fridge, microwave, double infrared burner, toaster, kettle & Keurig. Your view overlooks the back harbour of Lunenburg and we are only 800m to the town's famous waterfront, less to shops/restaurants & less than 100m to the Bay to Bay trail.
The recently renovated basement suite features light, airy colours and plenty of natural light that truly makes you forget that you are in a basement. The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam topper and comfortable bedding and new pillows to make you feel at home.
If needed, a second queen bed with quilted mattress protector, a cradle and an air mattress can be setup in the suite. **If you are looking to book for more than 4 people (2 years & above), send us a detailed message and if you are pre-approved we can send you a "special offer" to account for the additional person surcharge.**
There is a spacious private washroom with a shower and many basic toiletries available for your stay. The TV room has a traditional couch, ottoman and a chair and a half. The entire basement will be your space for the duration of your visit, and if for some reason we needed to access the basement, we would contact you first.
The private entrance and patio area allows for guests to feel comfortable coming and going as they please, and the best part, no keys!
As mentioned in the summary, kitchen amenities are limited but growing. We just added a double infrared burner (fancy hot plate) and look to continue to build our kitchenette. When we first started, we assumed most people would be coming to Lunenburg for the great views and the great restaurants, but as more guests ask for greater ability to make their own food, we have been slowly adding things to accomplish that.
Accès des voyageurs
While visiting you have access to the entire basement, including the TV room (though there is no cable tv, there is Netflix, a HDMI cable and display port cable for Macbooks) laundry room and your own bathroom. There is a full-sized fridge in the basement to keep your food in. We encourage you to enjoy the backyard and take in some of the beautiful views that our home has to offer.
**If you are traveling by yourself, message us before you book and we will send you a "special offer" at a reduced price.**
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We are excited to host you during your stay. If we are available, we would love to chat about local attractions and answer questions that you may have so please don't hesitate to ask. If you would rather keep to yourself, that is perfectly fine as well.
The bedroom in the basement has two points of entry; a door and a full-length curtain (which separates it from the laundry room). In addition to the programmable entry, the main basement door also has a sliding lock which can be used from the inside for added privacy. The door leading down to the basement (from our space upstairs) will be closed/locked during your stay and also includes recently added soundproofing.
*We welcomed our first child in December and so far he has adjusted quite well to our quiet lifestyle. If you do hear him during your stay, we apologize in advance. On the plus side, this also means that upon request we can provide a variety of "family-friendly" amenities that you may need. Just let us know. We will also mention that with our home being recently renovated and having plaster walls upstairs, significantly reduces any noise and we rarely hear our guests below us.
Additional guests (5th or 6th person and older than 2) must be pre-approved prior to booking as we would send you a "special offer" to account for the price increase.
We live in a quiet neighbourhood (elderly neighbours) so we ask that after 11 PM noise be kept to a minimum.
Our home is a non-smoking home. We ask that if you smoke that you do so in your vehicle.
No excessive drinking and absolutely no drugs.
Please turn off lights and turn down baseboard heating when not in use.
Please place garbage/recycling/compost in appropriate receptacles.
Please try to avoid eating (or at least making a mess) on the living room furniture.
If staying more than one night, pizza boxes go in the green bin behind shed.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 7 jours avant le voyage, vous recevez un remboursement à hauteur de 50 %. En cas d'annulation au cours des 7 jours précédant le voyage, la réservation est non remboursable.
Melissa: I have lived in Ontario, Alberta, and Nova Scotia and have finally found my place in this world in the small town of Lunenburg, NS. I love reading, knitting, and watching Netflix! My husband and I love being outside and living by the ocean.
Adam: I am originally from Nova Scotia but spent 4 years in Alberta. I have lived in many places and couldn't be happier to settle down in Lunenburg. I enjoy heading to the beach, cycling and the occasional yard game on a nice sunny day. I have also thoroughly enjoyed sharing our home and town through Airbnb and meeting so many kind and interesting people.
Holden: I was born just before Christmas 2016. I enjoy eating, sleeping and being all-around adorable.
Our family looks forward to meeting you and hope that you love your time in Lunenburg.
