Our little garden guesthouse was built by hand, with thoughtful attention to every detail. It is bright and sunny, filled with plants and conveniently located in NE Portland. We are just a short walk or bike ride to some of the city's best restaurants and bars on NE 30th and Killingsworth and the eclectic Alberta Arts District.
We designed the little house together and Jon built it over the course of two years. It's a beautiful, bright and open space that feels private and cozy, surrounded by our lovely garden. Whether you're looking for a place to crash after a long day of exploring the city, or a romantic weekend in, reading and watching the birds, the little house is a perfectly relaxing retreat.
Accès des voyageurs
Located behind our home, the guesthouse has a kitchen, full bath, living room and a bedroom loft. You are welcome to wander through our garden, pick fruit from the trees and veggies from the garden boxes. There is plenty of street parking nearby and guests can park in our driveway while unloading luggage.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We are happy to help out in any way we can, but we also understand the need for privacy. Just let us know if you need us. We love sharing our favorite places to visit in the city and are eager to give recommendations for restaurants and bars in the neighborhood.
Due to our damp, dark winter climate, we have a couple of specific requests. Please open the curtains on the main floor as much as possible to keep our plants happy. Run the fan while you shower and keep wet towels and rug hung up, off of the bathroom floor and the wooden ladder.
We don't charge a cleaning fee, but ask that you tidy up before you leave. When checking out, wash and dry your dishes, lock the door and drop the key in our mailbox on the front porch.
Thanks so much!
Originally from a small town in Missouri, we first moved to Portland together in 2002 and are happy to call this beautiful city our home. We love gardening and exploring the Northwest. Whether hiking, camping or soaking in the natural hot spring pools, we try to spend as much time in nature as we possibly can.
