À propos de ce logement
The space is a larger studio in the best area of SF. Staying here and enjoy the full local experience.
It is located in one of San Francisco's best neighborhoods - Marina. Walkable distance to Crissy Field by the sea, Palace of Fine Art, Lombard St, Fisherman's wharf and hundreds of great restaurant, bars. Unlike North Beach, this neighborhood has less touristy traffic and is where many SF local residents, professionals prefer to live in. Enjoy the full SF local experience!
It is a plus size studio sitting on Lombard st. The large glass door is facing the back side of the street where it's very quite. Full kitchen and fridge if you prefer to cook although there are hundreds of restaurant nearby. I have a projector with which you can enjoy the 70 plus inches screen space on the wall if you want to watch a movie.
This is my own living space. I only rent it out when I'm out of town. So I can't store everything away. So the space won't be like a hotel room. But I will make sure it's clean and tidy like, you know, a home.

For the most part I won't be there. So you can enjoy the freedom. But I will be reachable via phone or email should you need any help.
Louis' Restaurant (URL HIDDEN) is great for brunch. It is by Sutro Bath house. If you haven’t been, you should totally check it out. Decent American hearty breakfast, friendly price and awesome view. You can walk around to see the Sutro Baths and Land’s end afterwards. If you find yourself wandering in Land’s end, try to find Lands End Labyrinth. Not the most magnificent view but it’s fun. The cliff house nearby is good for lunch and dinner the view is even better, the price is a bit high too. There are three restaurants in Cliff House. One of them has a friendlier price with awesome seafood. Reservation is recommended.
Legend of Honor (URL HIDDEN) Renowned art museum with stunning view. The architecture of the museum itself has a Roman temple feel. One of the 28 replicas of Rodin’s famous sculpture, Thinker, cast from the original can be found here.
If you have time Thursday night, make sure to check out the California Academy of Science’s night life. It’s an amazing night event happening most Thursdays with live band and bar in a natural history museum with an aquarium of gigantic tanks and a four floor tall rainforest enclosure among many other cool exhibits. My favorite is a tunnel through the bottom of the aquarium where gigantic fresh water fish “fly” over your head. (URL HIDDEN)
Also in the Golden Gate park are: Japanese Tea Garden, a very well designed Japanese zen garden where you can sit down for a cup of tea; and De Young Museum, a pretty cool fine art museum.
Hawk Hill (URL HIDDEN) Hands down the best view in San Francisco. Period. Make sure you check out the gigantic WWII canon bunker by walking through a tunnel. It’s quite a view. On your way up, you can check out the Battery Spencer. It’s an abandoned military base with an awesome view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
George Lucas Studio. If Star Wars is your thing, this is where they are made. Unfortunately they don’t offer tours that I’m aware of. But there is a Yoda statue and you can walk around to sneak peak a little.
The Walt Disney family museum. This museum tells you the history and stories behind the business side of this media empire. If Disney is your thing, this is not so much about the cute cartoon characters.
Biking. Basically Free Bike Rentals (URL HIDDEN) ) one of the best bike rentals nearby. They match the money you spend on bike rental with the same amount of store credit at Sports Basement (URL HIDDEN) Therefore its name.
Touristy attractions near my place ( just in case your tour book hasn’t covered them all ) :
2.Palace of fine art
3.Pier 39 ( Fisherman’s wharf ) A bunch of sea lions chilling there for unknown reasons
4.China Town. The oldest and biggest China town in North America. Coming from China, I promise you it looks nothing like modern day China. It’s more like early 20th century China kept in a time capsule. Whatever happened in SF or China has no influence on the lives of the people living there. It is amazing in its own unique way. R&G lounge (URL HIDDEN) has Michelin recommendation.
Rock n Roll creative sushi (URL HIDDEN) Creative sushi with awesome vibe. You can do omakase if you feel spontaneous and have a spot at the sushi bar.
Chubby Noodles. Great Asian fusion restaurant with late night hours and good price.
Homemade Italian Company. Hearty fresh Italian food made from the scratch. They have two locations one in North Beach, one near my place.
Burger: Super Duper Burgers
American style seafood: Pacific Catch
Easy healthy organic Thai style chicken: Rooster & Rice (URL HIDDEN) Not deep fried chicken. You can ask them to replace your rice with steamed vegetables if you want to avoid eating carb.
Authentic Shanghai food: Shanghai House (URL HIDDEN) This one is a bit far out.
Middle Eastern-Mediterranean food: La Mediterranee (URL HIDDEN)
Caribbean Restaurant: Palm House (URL HIDDEN)
The tipsy pig. hip bar with a back patio near our place
Rickhouse. A cool place with a castle feel? You can tell me how to better describe it…
Treasure Island. Good place to view San Francisco during night. I’d like to take my date to chill and have a deep conversation about the meaning of life.
Club: DNA Lounge, Audio. There is an awesome crepe place called Crepes A Go Go nearby for drunk food (URL HIDDEN)
Urban Putt: artsy mini golf where you can play and carry a drink (URL HIDDEN) Call in advance because they are frequently booked by private events.
Latin American Club (URL HIDDEN) gigantic and strong margaritas and a fun vibe.
Bernal Heights Park (URL HIDDEN) Like Twin peaks, it’s an awesome place to overlook the entire city. Unlike Twin peaks, it’s less touristy. Park your car and walk up the hill. You might want to go off road a bit as you reach the top. But be careful. I’m not responsible for safety.
