The house is very quaint and served our needs. We we're attending a wedding at the Reserve at Mount Ida, very close. Loved that we could walk to thr brewpub and dinner ...and hike right across the street in the Van Clief nature area. Lumpkins down the road was great for breakfast! Had fun exploring the wineries in the area too.

From start to finish Steven was great. We never met but communication was always fast and great. The home is just as described, adorable and just perfect for my husband and I. The kitchen was great to have so we could cook our breakfast. It was very clean & cozy. We didn't mind not having a TV , the wifi was great and we were able to stream our football game :). It got a bit chilly at night but there were space heaters and plenty of blankets. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Terrell House is a very fun and interesting place to stay!!!! An interesting beautifully restored home in a friendly little town on the James River in the middle of wine country. Good wifi. Lots of little curiosities in the house (I won't reveal, you'll have to go and see, just fun interesting things to look at and read). In town, we loved the gallery, open on Sunday, really neat stuff. Most of the other stores were closed on Sunday but the restaurants were open. During our stay, we also went to the UVA McCormick observatory (first and third fridays 9 - 11 pm each month) to look at the stars through three telescopes including the historic 26-inch McCormick Refractor. It was pretty cool... the faculty and staff gave a pretty nice lecture while we were waiting in line and there is a little museum to stroll through as well. We also went by the Ablemarle Ciderworks to taste antique apples (and buy a whole bunch) and to taste various ciders made with those antique apples. Yum! It was a fun trip and A++++ for Terrell House!

Excellent stay, right in the heart of town. The house was very clean and comfortable. The furnishings go well with the house. On that note, Steven has done an extensive remodel on this place. There is a very neat digital picture frame that shows the different phases of the work. A great job was done and it doesn't appear that any corners were cut bringing this historic house back from near extinction. Steven was very responsive and the entire process was simple and stress free. We will definitely be back again when we have more time to enjoy all the area has to offer.

Steve was very accomodating with our last minute plans. His place was everything we expected and more. Unfortunately we did not have a lot of time to relax & enjoy the charming atmosphere. We plan on returning to the area again & look forward to staying at Terrell House again. Thank you Steve!

We had a fantastic time at the Harry Potter weekend the town had planned. We didn't spend much time in the house or town other than that, but the house was very historic and beautiful.
