The Court House cottage is located just steps away from Queen St. in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It is an easy stroll to all three of the Shaw Festival’s theaters, many diverse restaurants and some unique shops.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is the original Capital of Upper Canada from 1792 to 1797. Nestled along the shores of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario, we hold the distinction of being the only municipality in Canada whose elected head holds the title of Lord Mayor. Each year millions of people from around the world travel here to experience our Town’s unique charm and historic sites, including Fort George and Brock’s Monument; period-restored heritage homes, top-flight golf courses, breath-taking parks and gardens, as well as over 30 wineries and countless vineyards, many of which produce our world-class ice wine. In 2012 we launched the 200th commemoration of the War of 1812. Last from 1812 to 1814, and was the only time any country invaded Canada. in 1814, the Town’s Bicentennial Committee will continue to host a range of historical re-enactments and special events dedicated to our role as a major battle site leading to the creation of modern-day Canada. We hope you will enjoy our Old Town shopping district, which boasts of a number of quaint shops, boutiques and restaurants, fine hotels, spas and bed & breakfast establishments, as well as public and private art galleries, the centuries-old Court House, museums, and of course, the renowned Shaw Festival Theatre.

The location can't be beaten. The four of us were very comfortable in this lovely cottage within easy walking distance to the main street. With the proximity to the main street and a parking area, we were expecting noise but it is very peaceful. The garden is a lovely place to kick your feet up and relax with a glass of wine.

Our stay was seamless and wonderful. John and Lorraine were so helpful about answering some last-minute questions quickly. The cottage was great, with a nicely-decorated interior and everything we needed. The location can't be beat, just steps away from the main street. The outdoor space was a nice bonus and felt private even though so close to everything. We feel so lucky we found this place with availability. We'd love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone going to Niagara-on-the-Lake!
