Sleeping 12 adults, this large pole-house is a 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom executive residence in Sawmill Settlement. Only two minutes from the Mt Buller/Stirling gate, this mountain hideaway is beautifully appointed with fine furnishings, original artworks, and quality linen. Built over 3 levels it has been designed to cater for several families in the one home. Under soaring cathedral ceilings, the crackling wood-fire is the heart of the open plan cooking/dining/living space. The master bedroom is completely separate from other bedrooms and has its own bathroom and deck area for complete privacy. Three other bedrooms on the second and third levels are serviced by a separate toilet, bathroom and second lounge – making it a great place for the kids to hang out.
This non-smoking property is ideal for couples looking for a secluded romantic setting, for several families who enjoy quality and space, or for groups who wish to share all that this property has to offer.
We are 3 km from the Mt Buller/St Stirling gates (snowboarding, downhill and cross country skiing; single track mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking) offer 10% discount on ski hire and give personalised attention to all our guests. You will have access to all but the office and the storage area at the back.

While I try to meet my guests, that is not always possible. I am only a phone call away however if you need advice or help! There is a keysafe with the front door key in it so you can access the Lodge when you arrive - the code will be provided prior to your stay.
The nearest supermarkets are in Mansfield so stock up on supplies as you come through the town. In winter you will probably require wheel chains for day visits to Buller. These can be rented from the Mirimbah store at the resort gate unless you have low profile tyres - then you'll need to hire them from Merrijig Motor Inn.
We have a policy of - shoes off in the house, no pets and no smoking in the house. We ask that you respect the neighbours and keep noise to a minimum between 10pm and 8am, that you lock up and turn lights and heaters/ac off when you leave the house, and that you unpack the dishwasher and put things away before you depart. If there are more guests than booked for and in excess of 12 (including kids) an additional per person charge will be levied.
I am a retired environmental scientist with a love for the outdoors. Having recently settled in Victoria I am keen to pursue my love of hiking, mountain biking and learning to ski. I love to travel off the beaten track with adventure in mind.
I love to paint, garden and raise chooks, enjoy an eclectic mix of music and am enjoying and grateful for each day that comes along.
