The floor of the tipi has the famous red sand common to this area. Great for walking in barefooted.
The quiet is wonderful inside the tipi. There is room for 8 with plenty of room for gear and your sleeping bags and pads.

This Is the Wild, Rustic, Dirty Desert. Keep in mind this is a rugged camping experience not for the faint at heart. The desert is Hot in the summer, the weather is unpredictable and you may experience our wild storms...these are real open top tipi's that do let a little rain in. You may hear coyotes, see spiders, experience the annoying desert gnats at certain times of the day during the hotter summer season. You will want to bring bug spray, if you forgot we do sell it in our camp store. If you stay with us you will get the experience of desert camping, wild, raw and rugged. It is an amazing experience to be had, with beautiful views and the feeling of freedom that is hard to find in your more civilized and populated locations.

Amazing night sky!!!! We stayed in the tepee for one night. It was awesome, although pretty chilly. But how often are you going to stay in a tepee? If you're going to visit the needles district of canyon lands this is the campground to stay. Prices are affordable and the owners are friendly and hospitable. We had free firewood waiting for us, which was a plus. Don't forget to get sandwiches and coffee at the store before heading out to the park. The scenery on route to the campgrounds is beautiful!

Unfortunately I didn't make it to the needles accommodations so my review is based on my experience leading up to the trip and dealing with Needles after... The reason I didn't make it was due to not being able to locate the accommodations- I thought I'd gone too far so turned around twice and went back again but just didn't quite go as far as I should . I just didn't drive far enough... so if you think you've got too far and have yet to find it, just keep driving even further because you're probably almost there! Be warned that there is no wifi in many areas out there so if you are lost you'd have to drive about 30 miles to find a connection. Be prepared with a full tank of gas and detailed instructions. On another note, the drive is absolutely gorgeous and worth being lost in the canyonlands! I really enjoyed the drive and the area and I know needles would have been just as enjoyable too had I made it. Needles offered my a refund for my troubles which was very generous...They even offered me gas and lunch the next day which I declined but appreciated . The communication was as best as it could be via text and regardless this adventure was just another part of the journey on a magical trip I took!

This place is insanely beautiful! The view is unreal, and the site is really well-maintained. What a great value to stay so close to the park, right at the edge of that view. I followed the written instructions and made it there in one shot, no problem. The tipi itself was awesome -- definitely a cool experience, and was so nice to have a shield on a windy, rainy night. This place is a total gem, could not recommend enough.

My favorite part about this Airbnb was the fact that the site was a little ways into the Canyon Lands Park so the drive is breathtaking! The site was easy to find, though I'd recommend trying to find it in the day light. My wife and I unfortunately arrived after dark and that made it adventurous! Tipi is huge and fit my wife and I more than comfortably. Bathroom and shower within a short walking distance and clean! We wish we could have stayed longer but we hope to return!

What a delightful camping experience! The tipi was big and easily fit me and my two guests with tons of room to spare. It was perfect for an early fall visit. The fire pit and camp table were great for meal prep. Because you're just inside the park, you have an unmatched view of the sunset and stars right from your campsite. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Amber's enthusiasm about the Outpost made an already excellent stay feel that much better.
