Mihai and Andrea, Thank you for your nice comments. However, I must take exception to saying you need to drive hundreds of kilometres for good hiking. In fact, if you really wanted to do a long hike you could walk all the way to Ronda from Benahavis over the mountains and there are many other wonderful walks up and beyond the castle etc. Also the Parque de Nieves is only about half an hours drive away and then there are the lovely walks above the Refugio Juanar above Ojen with amazing views at 40 minutes and oh so much more. The supermercado is exactly 5 kilometres away down the valley. I do list a variety of things to do in and around Benahavis and there is my Satnav with many of those places noted on it in the apartment for your use along with maps and travel books. My apartment is my own home and I do make it clear that wine, store cupboard food, spices, beach towels, picnic chairs, cool box, binoculars etc is for the use of my guests. I do believe that staying as a guest in my home makes it preferable to renting something that is minimally furnished to maximise rental profit. Most Spanish homes keep their living quarters out of the sun which can reach 40 degrees plus and that is why I have put in additional led lighting in the sitting room and there is very good air conditioning. The balcony is almost another room with its table and chairs and sofa etc and of course it has electric blinds to keep the sun at bay if required. It also has an electric fan as well as a patio heater. I am glad to hear that you appreciated my lovely Mihaela and thank you for taking her out to dinner. That was a nice touch.
