Located within view of the Genesee River and the river trail, the house is very conveniently located. It is 12 minute walk or 4 minute bike ride to UR campus. Just 1.5 miles to downtown.
This listing is for a bedroom on the first floor of the home. With hardwood oak floors, the room also has a beautiful butcher block table with desk lamp and chair for studying/working. There is a closet with hangers, and shelving for extra items or clothing. This room has two windows, dimmable room lighting and louvered control of the heating vent.
The home is a recently renovated 1880's brick building, tucked in the PLEX neighborhood. Reclaimed hardwood floors, doors, and salvaged materials integrated throughout the home.
Wi-Fi with high speed internet included. Ethernet wired throughout the house.
It's green and friendly for people who are sensitive to chemicals and chemical scents. The home is cleaned without toxic chemicals. Linens and towels washed with scent-free and biodegradable soaps. Super-insulated envelope means comfortable rooms year-round.
The bathroom features a heated marble floor and spacious shower. The shower easily accommodates tall people without hunching! All toilets have washlets / bidets.
Kitchen surfaces are plentiful, so guests who enjoy cooking will love this space. 4-burner stainless steel gas range with quartz counter tops and high quality, dimmable task-lighting. We are slow foodies, and have a simple but high quality setup with wooden cutting boards and sharp knives.

Guests have access to their private room, the living / dining room, bathroom and kitchen. Additionally there is a mudroom where guests can store a bicycle, boots, jackets, etc. The back and side yards are open for your enjoyment as well. We love cyclists!
Off-street parking is available but limited to one car per guest. There are two driveways and we will work together to find a space for you. Additionally there is generously available parking on the dead-end street beside the house.
Welcome cooks! Food scraps are collected weekly by Rochester locals, Community Composting! In addition we provide free weekly garbage and recycling service.

Whether or not I will be available, a host will be here to help with questions about the house, the neighborhood, and the city. I will provide a thorough house manual to acquaint you with the home, appliances, fixtures and any other common how-to's. Additionally I am including a list of some of Rochester's most delectable eats, things to see and experience. Please don't hesitate to ask questions!
I highly value respect, and having a clean and quiet space. Surely we love having dinner with friends but also respect the space of others and other guests and neighbors.

No drugs, e-cigs, or open flames (including candles). If you smoke, please do so outside with the doors and windows closed.
