Description

I love older buildings with character. You can hang your hat here for a day or a month, comfortably. A restful queen bed. A kitchen equipped for cooking. A desk to get work done.

Downstairs, congenial hangouts, Peloton Cafe and Nate's Wings & Waffles, offer great food & beer. Everyone's favorite for Vietnamese, Ba Bar, is always buzzing.

It’s steps from Seattle U. & Swedish Hospital, strolling distance to Capitol Hill’s exciting Pike/Pine district, AND you can still find street parking!

The space is a studio apartment on the 2nd floor of a small, family-owned apartment building. With its spacious queen bed, the apartment sleeps two comfortably. It's clean and minimalist, with a nicely equipped kitchen, full bathroom, and light-filled main room that looks onto a leafy container garden. Free Netflix, too.

You have access to everything in the apartment. You'll get a KEY to the building's entrance, plus a unique CODE that opens you apartment's keypad lock. Down the hall you'll find the washer/dryer (detergent provided in your closet).

I'm available to help. Reach me by phone, text, or the AirBnB app anytime. Typically I'll come to the apartment to greet you on check-in (to give you the key) and at check-out.

This neighborhood is really a great place to stay. It's a 15 minute stroll to the Pike/Pine corridor that is Capitol Hill's liveliest district. The apartment is just blocks from great restaurants, coffee houses, parks, shopping, cinemas, music venues, and nightlife. Yet it's still possible to find street parking here.

The neighborhood is full of great places: Peloton Cafe (one of Seattle Met Magazine's "100 Very Best Restaurants"), Ba Bar (another!), Seven Beef, L'Oursin, Nate's Wings and Waffles; Nevertold Casket Company; Seattle University Campus (especially the Chapel of St. Ignatius); Cafe Presse, Stumptown Coffee; Juicebox Cafe; the theaters at 12th Avenue Arts; Elliot Bay Book Company; Northwest Film Forum; Omega Ouzeri (Greek); Neu; Pettirosso; the restaurants at Liz Dunn's terrific Chophouse Row; Neumo's for live music; Century Ballroom; Molly Moon's Ice Cream; Rancho Bravo Mexican; Trader Joe's and Central Co-op for organic groceries.

The apartment has a Walk Score of 93, meaning the area is a "Walker's Paradise". Leave your car, because you can get just about everywhere on foot. It's a comfortable 20 minute walk to Cal Anderson Park and everything else in Capitol Hill's exciting Pike/Pine district. Also, all the major hospitals, lovely Seattle University, and the Frye Art Museum.

The First Hill Streetcar station at Broadway & Terrace is an 8 minute walk. The streetcar is fantastic, connecting Capitol Hill, First Hill, Little Saigon, the International District, and Pioneer Square neighborhoods in Seattle.

(By the way, at those Capitol Hill and International District stops, please also find stations for the regional Link Light Rail system, which can take you all the way to Sea-Tac Airport.)

Transit is convenient for most trips. Nearby are stops serving routes #3, #4, #9E, #43, #49.

A Bike Score of 84 means the area is "Very Bike-able": the protected bike lanes along Broadway Avenue feel very safe to ride.

Need a car? Uber, Lyft, and traditional taxis are just a call away. Budget, Avis, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car services are nearby. ZipCars may be found parked minutes away. Point-to-point car rental services, like Car2Go and ReachNow, also serve the neighborhood.

The address is 505 13th Ave #6, Seattle, WA 98122.

The nearest cross streets are E Jefferson St to the south and E Barclay Ct to the north.

The door is the one that faces 13th Ave (it is dark gray in a brick building). On the corner of the the building is the restaurant, Nate's Wings and Waffles.

LIGHT RAIL
From Sea/Tac Airport, it's cheapest to take a combination of Link Light Rail and First Hill Streetcar. (First, optionally, buy an ORCA card for $5 and put some money on it--ORCA lets you transfer from Light Rail to Streetcar or buses for no additional charge.)

Get on at the Sea/Tac-Airport station and get off at the International District station.

From there, take an Uber to the apartment (it's 1.1 miles away). Alternatively, hop onto the First Hill Streetcar and ride it to the Broadway & Terrace stop. Then it's a few blocks walk downhill to the apartment.

PARKING
Free street parking is available, but please mind the parking signs! On Sundays and holidays, street parking often is unrestricted.

It's possible that I'll have a Zone 7 guest pass for you. That lets you park more freely in restricted areas marked by signs that say "Except by Zone 7 permit." Can't promise the pass is available, though.

Here is a nearby paid parking option:

Tri is a welcoming and thoughtful host. He has a very nice space in a great location. There are good food choices literally across the street. Try the Regent Cafe a few blocks away for lovely Chinese pastries and delicious dim sum

This is a really lovely apartment, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is a good size, with good furniture, a well stocked kitchen for basics, and a nice bathroom with all the essentials. In the Capitol Hill area and walkable to great restaurants and nightlife, which I enjoyed more than the city center. But getting to City Center is accessible as well. Because it is in a lively area of Seattle there is a bit of noise on the weekends, something to be mindful of when considering the neighbourhood. Tri is a wonderful host to rent from, and I would recommend his suite to anyone looking to enjoy a weekend in Seattle.

The appartment is very cosy and comfy esp the bed (very important to have quality resting after long walking days!). It is well equiped if you'd go cooking, bright and clean. Notice that quarters would be needed for the laundry (1.25$). Tri is a very good host, careful and helpful just to mention the attention sweets and fresh water were prepared for our arrival ! Although he lives just next door he is very discreet but it is really nice to have him close, ses him and talk in the hallway ! We would definitely recommand !

Tri was super friendly and welcoming, he helped us store our bags before and after check out so we could enjoy the city a little more. The apartment was everything we wanted for this trip. We felt right at home as it was our first time in Seattle. It was clean right when we got there and was stocked with things we needed. Thanks so much Tri, definitely will grab this apartment when we plan to visit again!

This apartment was simply perfect! The apartment itself is very spacious and has everything you might need including a well equipped kitchen, a full bathroom, a small lounging area, and a comfortable bed. My boyfriend and I especially enjoyed the snacks Tri left on the coffee table as well as some board games! And on top of that, the location could not be better. Easy walk downtown, to Capitol Hill, and not too far from the Space Needle! Overall a great experience!!

I'm a Seattle native and, yes, I love this city to bits. I read a ton, and wish I could finish more novels than I do. I enjoy live music, theater, and ballet. And I'm a fan of modern board games. I'm more a city guy than an outdoors dude.
