We will not be far away if you need help or advice on things to do in the area.
We have regular BBQ's in the summer and you'd be welcome to join us, an opportunity perhaps to bring your own favourites to add to the feast!
Our cottage is in Thickwood a hamlet approx. 1/2 mile east of Colerne. We are a stone’s throw from the luxurious Lucknam Park hotel and spa. 6 miles from the historic and beautiful Roman city of Bath. 4 miles from the scenic village of Castle Combe and just 8 miles from NT Lacock a prime location for filming many movies and dramas.
In Colerne village itself and also just down the road in the hamlet of Ford a selection of good food and local ale pubs can be found.
For your comfort wet or muddy items of clothing or boots should not be taken to the annex.
We will provide suitable arrangements to help dry items of clothing for you.
We will explain the complexities around the operation of the hot tub before it is used and please bear in mind that certain skin products (such as sun protection or fake tan) can ruin the filters so if using these products please don't ask to use the tub. Thank you

I am married to Pete and enjoy living in Wiltshire in our old cottage with large garden right on the edge of an area of outstanding natural beauty. I have left full time employment for the time being to focus on our home life. I was lucky enough to be offered voluntary redundancy to help this become a reality.
Pete and I travel when we can and although long haul flights are not my favourite thing, visiting far away destinations such as the Caribbean or USA make the discomfort worthwhile.
Pete and I got married on the beach in the far away land of Mauritius. We were joined by close family and friends and I have very fond memories of the whole amazing experience.
We enjoy exploring locally too. A day out in Bath or visiting the local pubs in the village or walking with the dogs is a regular pastime.
When we travel further afield we choose accommodation that is either self-contained or a hotel usually, but the idea of Air BNB is something new and worth considering.
We keep rescue dogs and this has taken over our lives in recent years and does create challenges for us when we are staying with other hosts. One is a rescue dogs is from southern Italy and the other who has sadly passed away recently was from the Bath cats and dogs home. We hope one day to be able to allow people with dogs to come and stay with us too. Sadly this is not an option at the moment.
