Experience the history and stunning natural beauty of historic Newburyport in my artfully decorated antique home with large yard, large patio and backyard Pergola perfect for morning coffee . Nearby is a 500 acre state park, National wildlife refuge on Plum Island which is a barrier island, sandy beaches, boutique shopping, and tons of history and fine dining. There is an abundance of antique and historic homes in our waterfront community that are unique to the history of the area.

Le logement

The rental unit is a half house (townhouse) with private access and complete privacy. Two bedrooms have a queen bed and there is a sitting room / library that can be used as a third bedroom with a day bed (twin bed). The large brick patio will only be available to you and your group. It has a dining table and chairs, lounging patio chairs and BBQ grill. The home is artfully decorated with objects I have picked up in my travels and at the many flea markets in the area. I have traveled extensively and have stayed in many guest homes and rental units and I strive to provide a travel experience that I myself would enjoy.

You will have a kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook and dine, two flat screen T.V's, separate dining room and living room and 1.5 bathrooms. High speed wi-fi and cable T.V. are also provided.

Historic Seacoast community, Beaches, Islands, The Great Salt Marsh, Merrimack River, Ocean and 500 acre State Park are all minutes away.

Antique home located in lovely tree lined historic neighborhood and located two miles (can walk or bike ride) to downtown Newburyport.

2 miles to 500 acre Maudslay State park with walking and bike trails along the Merrimack River.

8 miles to Plum Island (barrier island) and the Federal Wildlife Refuge (Parker River Refuge). This area is part of the Great Salt Marsh that spans Cape Anne to Seabrook NH and is known nationally as one of the top birding areas.

Newburyport is a unique coastal community with the 2nd largest concentration of Federal style homes in the U.S.. Extremely large homes which were once owned by sea captains adorn the main street with most sporting at "widow's watch" or cupola at the top of the home.

Restaurants, Farmers market on Sunday, boutique shops, whale watching tours, salt marsh boat tours, and a beautiful wooden boardwalk along the river shoreline are just a few of the high points in the area.

Train or direct bus service to downtown Boston and Logan Airport (1 hour drive).

Easy drive to several more beaches along the North Shore of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. Beautiful seacoast town of Portsmouth, NH only 25 minutes away.

Easy highway access to the Green Mountains or White Mountains in VT. NH, and ME.

House is decorated eclectic with combination of modern and antiques plus art from my many trips to foreign countries or local flea markets.

The area is rich with natural and historical assets that will make your trip unforgettable.

I have traveled all over the country as well as internationally and have stayed in many B&B's and unique lodges and now I look forward to hosting travelers from all parts of the world!

I stayed in Jo Ann's lovely house for a short but great weekend with a few friends. The house was clean and comfortable and spacious. The check in and check out process couldn't have been easier. Jo was available by text and phone for any questions and responded immediately. There were also plenty of towels and linens which I appreciated and the beds were very comfortable! Can't oversell the bathroom either, it was huge and so clean. The house had an ample backyard which we enjoyed despite the cooler weather. The location was great as well with access to the water and a nice walkable neighborhood. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you!

Lovely house in a residential street. 2 large bedrooms upstairs, a big bathroom and a nice living area downstairs. Great location for visiting places in Cape Ann.

Jo Anne's place was perfect for me and my friends for the night. Couldn't think of a more quaint, chic way to spend the weekend. Her house was clean, stylish, and comfortable. Would definately stay again.
