PET POLICY – Well behaved, HOUSE TRAINED dogs are welcome guests. Any damage will be billed through the security deposit. If your pet has not been left in a strange house before please do not leave them alone unless they are crated and they are crate trained -- leaving them out on the deck in the back to bark would make me very unpopular with my neighbors!

RENTAL RESTRICTIONS – You must be twenty-five (25) years of age or older to rent this unit. The cabin is in a residential area, so please be aware of noise level. Renters are not eligible for refund in the case of eviction (by owner, representative of owner, or law enforcement) for excessive noise or disorderly conduct.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The standard number of guests is five (5) persons. An additional charge of $25.00 per person per night for guests in addition to five (5) MAXIMUM eight (8) will be assessed.

MINIMUM STAY – This property requires a three (2) night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods.

Post-Stay Information

HOUSEKEEPING PROCEDURE –Guests are responsible for placing all trash in the bear box (and properly disposing of trash that does not fit in the bear box), as well as for placing soiled dishes in the dishwasher and turning the dishwasher on.

CLEANING: may occur additional cleaning charges if the cabin is left exceptionally dirty. (Trash not taken out, dishes left in sink, etc.)

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE – The unit should be left locked. Please check all doors!

LATE CHECK-OUT PENALTY – A fee of $50 will be assessed for late check-out.

HOUSE SUPPLIES – The house generally contains minimal supplies of toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, condiments, and trash and recycling bags, though this is not guaranteed; guests are responsible for additional supplies of such products.

PARKING – Parking is limited to four (3) vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in the driveway only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

HOT TUB – No children under the age of twelve (12) permitted in the hot tub at any time. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. Our housekeepers sanitize and replenish chemicals in the tub prior to your arrival. DO NOT STAND ON THE HOT TUB COVER. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. They will break, and you may be charged for replacement. Remember when not using the hot tub to leave the cover on so hot tub will stay warm.

GARBAGE – Please place all garbage inside the bear box. Blue bags indicate recycling and white bags are for regular trash. Trash pick-up is on Thursdays. Renters are responsible for properly disposing of any trash that will not fit in the can inside the bear box. These boxes are not for show, there are bears in the area; if trash is left out the bears will be attracted to it. If any extra trash is left behind, charges will be deducted from your deposit. Trust us, DO NOT LEAVE any food in cars or outside the house (yes a bear can smell it in your cooler.) Please close your car windows at night...or you might find a raccoon or two napping in the seat they shredded.

COMMUNITY- Please be respectful of our neighbors. This is a quiet mountain community and most of our street are locals and families. They are great neighbors so please treat them with respect.

DISCLAIMER – This cabin is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.

Janice's place is wonderful! It was the perfect place to stay for my husband and I, and our pup! It has a great fenced in back yard, and dog gates already set up in the house. The place is really close walking distance to all that Tahoe City has to offer, and is really close to the Safeway in town. It can easily fit more than 4 people, with a bathroom and half bath. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook in on wintery Tahoe nights. We can't wait to go back!

Loved the location and decor of this place. The hot tub was so nice after a day on the slopes. Warm and cozy. So close to food, the lake and the slopes. While we didn't bring our pet this time, it really is a pet friendly place. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately laundry access is not an option. I will make a point of communicating with guests about snow clearance earlier when it snows.

Janice's place was perfect for my family. My mom was happy and comfortable, we were walking distance to great hiking trails, Lake Tahoe, food, and shopping. I would stay here again with my pup.

Janice was super nice and easy to contact. She answered all of my questions efficiently! The house is right behind the town. So easy to walk to the bars, restaurants and beach.

Super cute house very close to town. Within walking distance to tons of Tahoe City restaurants and activities, but far enough off the main drag to get peace and quiet. We loved that Janice put together a binder of local activities for us. Both the humans and dogs on our trip had a fun, safe & adventurous time!

Our stay at Janice's house was excellent. We'd never been to Tahoe City before and the location was ideal for us: super close to Commons Beach and yet on a quiet street with lovely hiking trails just up the hill. The house itself is carefully outfitted, comfortable, clean, and sharp looking. Janice was quick to respond with any queries before our arrival (once we got to the house, everything was clear and easy to understand). In short: a terrific place. We hope to return.
