Compact, one bedroom, terraced Holiday Home to rent in La Marina Urbanization, Spain, ideal for a couple or a family with small children.

This recently updated and homely rental is located in a quiet and friendly residential area, where locals and retired expats reside. In walking distance you can find numerous good bars, restaurants, supermarkets and other amenities as well as some glorious countryside.

HOUSE CONTENTS:

BEDROOM:
Compact Double Bed, 4 x Pillows, 2 x Single Duvets, Large Cupboard, and Small Chest of Drawers, Electric Fan, Beach set for guests.

BATHROOM:
Toilet, Sink, Bath Tub, Cabinet, Shower and Spin Dryer Machine (Centrifuge)

LOUNGE/KITCHEN:
WIFI (password protected) is fully installed and available for all guests.

Sofa Bed, Cabinet, Fridge, Gas Oven/Hob, with extra canisters, Electric Water Heater/Boiler, Microwave, Toaster, Plates, Dishes, Pots, Pans, Cups, Glasses, Cutlery and other Utensils.

TV: Please note that the TV is NOT connected at the moment (this will come shortly with English Channels – Ask the Host!)

TERRACE:
Table and chair set, Umbrellas, 2 plastic deck chairs.

*The Terrace is South Facing so enjoys sun most of the day and into the late evening.

SECURITY DEPOSIT:

As we have recently updated the house with some new furniture, accessories, sofa bed and Television, we must now ask guests to note that a Security Deposit is in place on each booking.

Guests should check out by redelivering the keys to the host, whom can check the property to confirm all is well.

OTHER TIPS:

We strongly advise all guests to get in touch with us before they arrive in Spain. As owner I do not live in Spain, but my friend in La Marina takes care of all Check-ins. So it is vital every guest has contact with him to collect keys or be able to inform regarding delays and so forth.

We are flexible with check in/out times, especially if there are no other guests coming or going, but simply ask all guests to keep us informed of any delays or changes to travel plans.

Good Communication with the Host is vital for a pleasant stay at the house, we welcome and encourage your questions as nothing is too small to ask!

Guests have sole access to the entire house.

As hosts we can offer hints and tips on the local area, excursions and restaurants.

If something goes wrong, like a leak or something breaks, then we encourage guests to contact us to fix it.

We have a guy who lives locally that looks after the house, and although he is working full-time he can usually come take a look on the same day.

The neighbourhood of La Marina Urbanization is a mix of friendly locals and retired expatriates. You get a mix of people from all over Europe including (and not limited to) Germany, The UK, Denmark, Sweden and of course Spain.

There are swimming pools on the urbanization, or simply try the excellent Aquapark at La Marina Camping. The beach at La Marina offers 10km of unspoiled sand all only 5 minutes away by car.

The house is a 20 minute drive from Alicante Airport, so an ideal destination for a holiday or short break. The neighbouring towns of Guardamar Del Segura, Elche, Murcia, Santa Pola and Torreveija all offer something different.

There is off-street parking available directly in front of the property, and it is advised to rent a car for your stay to access the beach and neighbouring towns.

You can get by without a car a bus service runs to the beach in the summer, and there are also lots of bars, supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance

If you wish to bring pets, then you must contact the Host in advance. Extra cleaning is required if pets are in the house, so please respect the forthcoming guests and the house.

No smoking in the house please, there is a big terrace where you can do that, or even take a short walk to explore the neighbourhood, thank you!

Les personnes sensibles aux piqûres de moustiques doivent prévoir un produit répulsif pour sortir aux alentours de la maison (il n'y en a pas de moustiques chez John).

Nous avons bien été accueillis par un ami à John. A notre arrivée, il y avait 2 pizzas dans le frigo pour se faire un repas étant donné l'horaire tardif. Le studio correspondait parfaitement à sa description. On profite du soleil sur la terrasse de 11h à 16h, idéal pour déjeuner et bronzer même en décembre! ) Super, merci!!

L'appartement est suffisant pour deux personnes et est bien équipé. Bon rapport qualité prix. Dommage que l'insonorisation soit insuffisante.

Thanks for the nice words guys. Sorry to hear that it wasn't as quiet as you hoped! The houses on the urbanisation were not built with the thickest of walls, but generally the neighbours are respectful and if you ask them to be quiet they will be.... :=) Next time (hopefully you will come back) you should mention it to my friend and he can speak to any noisy neighbours for you. We will also ensure to make it up to you on your return as well! :0) John

Johns place is a perfect base for Urb La Marina just minutes from the main street though Urb La Marina We stayed just two days attending a family birthday , whilst Johns home is a typical spanish casa with rustic wooden shutter windows and doors its a small one bed and has everything needed to live perfectly well on holiday. Johns place is south facing and gets Sun all day which as great even in the January winter sun. The block where Johns house is situated is peaceful and your neighbours are Spanish but so welcoming. A hire car is a must for the Urb La Marina as Supermarkets and places to eat are a very short drive away as is the sandy beach on the coast. All in all a few days in the Sun Johns place will tick the box and has more charactor than a hotel room.

La ubicación de la casa esta donde se espera, y el barrio es muy tranquilo para poder descansar, la casa es muy normal, cumple su función y listo, cabe destacar que podrían arreglar algún detalle como el asa que sujeta el cabezal de la ducha y el enchufe de la habitación, también podrían dejar un mechero para poder encender la cocina ya que si no eres fumador seguramente no lleves uno encima, a la llegada, las llaves me las entrego el vecino del contacto del anfitrión, el cual fue muy amable, la casa es cómoda y dispone de todo lo que figura en el anuncio, John siempre ha respondido rápidamente a los mensajes, y vuelvo a recalcar que es un buen lugar para descansar al máximo, la playa de la Marina es fantástica, tiene supermercados cerca, y se puede aparcar perfectamente. Tambien destacar que me olvide unas gafas de sol en el piso y el contacto fue muy amable y me las envio a mi domicilio. Gracias

Overall John's place was nice to relax and enjoy the near beaches. The house is located in a quite neighborhood within 5 to 10 minutes drive to the beach. The house has an outside area where you can enjoy a glass of wine and the sun. Even though we had a nice time in John's place, the house does need a deep clean as its a bit dusty and the kitchen is greasy.

Thanks for the response Katherine, and nice to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are very much a part-time operation, with myself in another country getting some assistance from a friend who lives locally. However, we do listen to the feedback from our guest and try to address that. I will ask Antonio to send in a cleaner asap to bring things back up to speed in that department. If you would have mentioned it before then we could have sent someone in during your stay and solved it there and then. You might also be pleased to hear that we are looking at updating the house in some other areas, but this of course takes some time to arrange! :0)
