The listing description and pictures are accurate. Guests use the back alley entrance which is the door to the guest’s room. The place was always very tidy and guests have full access to the amenities listed and to the kitchenware. There are two, small dressers in the room but no closet. The cat is very sweet and playful but likes to paw on the door. The host wrote a nice welcome note, provided bagels for breakfast for my boyfriend and me on the first day, and always offered recommendations on things to do / places to eat. The host also resides at the listing and has a lofted room upstairs with no door, so it is important to be considerate when using common amenities and spaces (e.g., when turning on the lights in the morning or at night, cooking in the kitchen, watching TV in the living room, using the laundry machines). The host seems to be busy, is often outside of the house, and sometimes takes a while to respond to messages. The location of the neighborhood is nice if the guest works at Under Armour or has a car. The neighborhood feels safe and parking is free. If the guest does not have a car, Uber / Lyft / the Tide Point water taxi are all options for getting around. Most Uber / Lyft rides are between $5 (to get to places around Federal Hill) and $15 (to get to places in Fells Point / Canton), and the water taxi (The Harbor Connector at Tide Point is about a 6 min walk away) is free on weekdays between 7AM and 7PM ET. However, if the guest does not have a car and is there for either a long-term stay or for the weekend, the location is relatively inconvenient. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and it is about a mile away from famous Baltimore sights like Fort McHenry and Federal Hill, but there’s not that much else to do or see in the neighborhood, and the majority of sights and restaurants would be more convenient to drive / uber to from the location. The nearest grocery store / store is about a mile away, which is walkable, but if you’re buying a lot of groceries, it’s probably easier to uber back--about a $5 ride.
