Jasmin the Artist House is a truly unique studio for two, tucked away among the historical cave houses along a winding path in the charming medieval village of Finikia-a peaceful retreat just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Oia center. Managed by Thireon Houses.
This renovated cave house from the 1800’s is surrounded by tranquil gardens and long sea views. The airy interiors are simple, elegant and filled with soft white light. A vaulted plaster ceiling floats over the antique double bed in the bedroom. The curving walls and arched openings from the original house captivate with traditional poetic Cycladic charm. Original artwork made by local artists adds charm to the unique rooms. An equipped kitchenette has everything you need to feel right at home. The bathroom is modern and features a built-in shower.
The garden terrace is brimming with olive and fruit trees, fragrant lavender and blooming jasmine. You will never tire of the private views of the verdant vineyards of Finikia and the bright blue Aegean sea and sky beyond while you enjoy coffee or meals at the antique marble dining table.
Artist House is perfect for one couple to kick up their feet and breathe in the relaxing hospitality of Santorini village life.

Jasmin the Artist House is the result of the careful renovation of a very important historical Santorini house style, completely unique to the island. Commonly called “cave houses” today in Santorini, many examples have been preserved and renovated in Finikia. It was constructed by carving into the soft pumice-stone earth of the hills. This created natural insulation and shelter when the houses were originally built, keeping the house comfortably cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Its position below the cliffs protects it from winds. Today, this natural insulation continues to produce an advantage for the house, maintaining a constantly cool interior environment, even on the hottest summer days.
Guests can take advantage of the rare opportunity to tour the owner’s adjacent private painting studio. Her gorgeous paintings incorporate folk maritime images with earth pigments used as they were thousands of years ago in Santorini.
