We are sleeping at simple tent with sleeping bag yet, can wake up with beautiful singing of birds and gentle sound of river stream. Please understand that our toilet facility is very minimum, giving less impact to the nature.

We can only access to the campsite with 4WD or, walking for around 2 hours. It is sheer nature surrounded by mountains.

I will be the host for the entire trip. I am driver, trekking guide and cook.

Nearest paved road is around 8-10km away. There are no houses around. We use tasty spring water for cooking and woods for campfire is everywhere.

Camp site is around 50min. drive from Takayama station. You can access there only by 4WD car or, walking.

Since this is my first attempt, camping facility is still very minimum. You can enjoy very basic shower in day one. We will visit very nice public hot spring in day2. Please note that Japanese public bath is naked style. off course men and women are separated.

Koichi

I am outdoor lover, grew up in Kamakura, historical beach town near Tokyo and traveled around the earth for 4years after working at trade house, which is Japanese unique trading company. On my way backpacking the world, I met earthwalker in Africa and that was the beginning of my entering into second stage of my life, live with nature.

Earthwalker (Paul Coleman from Manchester, England) and I had walked south part of Africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia), planted trees at schools, parks and so on. Earthwalker's message is 'Let us stop killing and let us start surviving'.

I do believe this message and it is important to enjoy our nature fully.

Japan has beautiful nature apart from its unique culture.

I would like to introduce Japan's nature to our friends from around the world and I would like to keep on traveling around the world to feel the every nice part of people, culture and nature of this planet as much as possible.

I would like to settle down at the place surrounded by abundant nature, living together with family and friends in sustainable and fun lifestyle.

Here is unique footage from Chile Patagonia, when we lived there for 2years (2011-2013), where Paul and Konomi (Earthwalker) had settled down from 2007.
