À propos de ce logement
Welcome to your penthouse apartment in the sky. A quiet, luxuriously finished, city center getaway. Revel in beautiful views over the rooftops of St Andrews, wonderful sunrises and sunsets and fine accommodation all in the comfort of home.
Alexandra place dates back to the late 18th century. The beautiful and imposing stone building first served as a home to golfer gentlemen and visitors. In the 19th century it became a luxurious hotel and more recently it has been converted into wonderful, roomy and bright apartments.
Three minutes away from the Old Course and the West Sands, right in the city center with its bars, restaurants and quaint bookshops - yet quiet enough so you enjoy the luxury and pleasure of St Andrews in complete peace. The Penthouse Apartment at Alexandra Place is a perfect base for golfers, tourists and lovers of culture. It's no wonder that Prince William and Catherine Middleton - Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - lived just across the street during their studies at the University of St Andrews.

My fiancee and I - both professors at the University - bought the house last year and have lovingly spent the past few months restoring the beautiful place. With its hardwood oak floors, its marble bath tub, power shower and stunning views of market street, the rooftops of South Street, the walled gardens and the Georgian Hope Street - we hope that the apartment will make you feel as warm and as at home as it does for us.
Smoking is very strictly forbidden due to the allergies of my finacee, Marine. If you would like to smoke, please do not do so inside the apartment - even with windows open. If a guest is found to have smoked - we will need to hire professional cleaners and the cost will come out of the deposit.
Due to the type of furniture in our flat, we will not accept bookings from any unaccompanied children or young persons (below the age of 18).
I am an economics professor at the University of St Andrews. I have lived here with my finacee (a professor in French Literature) for the past two years - and we love it! This may be one of the most beautiful places on earth - and we are so fortunate to be able to spend most of our time here. We love to share our secret St Andrews with visitors - so stop by and discover our paradise.
