The home is very private. My interaction will be through text. Email or phone calls. We have a separate local cleaning and maintenance company that will attend to any issues with the property during the stay. We do ask that guest leave the home the way they found it. Each room will have clean sheets and towels in the bathrooms. At the end of the stay, we ask that you strip the beds and wash the sheets and towels. We also ask that you do your own dishes and put away the dishes and utensils so it's like you found the kitchen. Our local cleaner will take care of vacuuming, sweeping and mopping and wiping down the surfaces. We will ask for an extra cleaning fee charge if you prefer to not do any of the kitchen or washing work yourselves.
House will be clean with fresh linen, clean dishes, and cleaning products. It is expected for guests to leave the house as they found it. That means you wash sheets and towels, wash dishes and do laundry. If you prefer not to do that, cleaning service can be arranged at an additional fee. Our standard cleaning fee includes the cost for a maid to come in and vaccuum, mop, sweep, dust and take care of the trash.
In the kitchen, we have some condiments, hot sauces, spices for cooking and items for baking. We ask that you use what you need, but leave behind what you don't want to just throw out. If you have extra condiments, salad dressings, beers, sodas or bottler waters you can leave them In the fridge. The freezer is wide open except for a couple of bags of ice and chilled mugs.
We have a large collection of DVD's including action, comedy, drama, and kids movies. Our upstairs room has a TV/DVD and a Nintendo Wii with more than a dozen Wii games. There are 3 controllers for the Wii. Please use what you like, but tidy up and put the movies or games back in their cases.
The house has a smart deadbolt which will have a special code just for your stay. We ask that when you leave you press the Schlage button to lock the door. All the lights can be left off and the main gate should be locked.
The deck has a number of outdoor patio chairs and a couple of folding rocking chairs,
There is a large hammock that you are welcome to use. We keep it rolled up and out of the sun and weather. To use it, just move the frame to where you want it and attached the sling to the big metal hooks. When you are leaving, just remove the sling, roll it up and put it on the plastic chairs In the corner under the roof. Same with the deck chairs, use all that you want and please stack them up when you leave.
With the hot tub, it is kept on, hot at about 100 and covered all the time. If you want to use it, you remove the cover by lifting one side up and over the other side, then sliding it odd in the direction of the gas grill. Lean the hot tub cover against the railing. Enjoy the tub as long as you want. When you are done, please put the cover back on. This means each day or night. If the cover stays off for a long time - like over a weekend - you will end up wth bugs, pine needles and leaves in the water that need to be scooped out. Please set the temp back to about 100
And make sure the lights and jets are turned off.
With the gas grill - start by pulling it out from the home wall. Carefully remove the cover. Find the gas pipe with the red gas flow handle and turn the handle so that it is parallel to the gas line. That turns on the gas flow. At the grill, open it up. Turn on 1-2 of the center gas burner knobs to the high position. Use the gas igniter button to lite the grill. Once you have flame, you can adjust the other burners as needed. It heats up to 500 rather quickly. When you are done, turn off the gas and let the grill cool for at least 30 mins. Please use the brush to clean off the grill for the next person. Close the lid, put the brush back, return the grill cover, turn off the gas flow handle so it's perpendicular to the gas line, and roll the grill so it's against the house.
There is a firepit on the deck too... For roasting marshmallows or making smorea. There should be some cut wood, dried leaves and small wood to build a fire. Please keep the cover over the fire while it's burning so that sparks and popped sap do not fly and cause other fires. Please keep the firepit over the tile s on the deck. If you want to move the firepit or tiles please take care in moving them and replace them before you leave.
If anything is missing or broken, you can text or email us and we may be able to help. We have neighbors and work with Winters Cleaning services to maintain the cabin.

I am a long time employee at Cisco Systems in San Jose. My family and I live in the Bay Area and enjoy time at our place in the Twain Harte Area. We decided to start making it available to other family and friends and have really enjoyed working with AirBnB to make it available to people from all over the world.
