Unit #2 has a separate bedroom with a queen bed, a separate private loft area with a full size bed and a full size pull-out sofa bed in the living area. All of the beds including the sofa bed have memory foam mattresses which are very comfortable. While this unit is designed to accommodate 6 Guests, it could be a bit challenging if all are adults. We want to ensure this arrangement will comfortably accommodate your family or group.

Smoking is permitted outside the unit only provided other Guests are not impacted in any way and smoking materials are disposed of properly.

Gatherings are permitted in the common areas for our registered Guests only unless permission has been requested and granted.

Our stay exceeded my expectations, John and his staff are very professional, attentive and made our stay in beautiful San Diego even better!! I highly recommend this beautiful home. Very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Only minutes from downtown San Diego and anything and everything you can do to enjoy the city is very close. 2 Thumbs Up!!

John's place was within walkable distance to downtown and close to the airport and local beaches. The house was very clean and noise level was low. It was a little hot but only due to the heat wave coming through California.

The accommodation is close to many SD attractions and downtown which is fantastic. The unit was clean and had everything we needed, including a pack-n-play and a high-chair for our 1 year old. John did a great job providing instructions before our arrival and following up during our stay. It was a great experience for the whole family. I would definitely recommend.

The loft was very cozy and clean. The kitchen had the necessary cookware to cook a nice meal for our family. Very nice dinnerware also. We spent some quality time in the back lounge area where there's a grill, a really nice dining area, and a fire pit. I didn't expect all the space out back. John, our host was very knowledgeable about the area and helped us plan our itinerary for the entire time we were there. All we had to do was call John (who was always available) to ask questions about where to eat and what to do. He was very charming and hospitable. He really cared and made sure we had a good time. Everything you need for a beach day john has. Even an awesome boogie board that my kids really enjoyed. We walked to the gas lamp district where there are a ton of restaurants and lounges. We had a fantastic time durring our stay. So much to do. We all slept very comfortable in the loft unit. At first when we arrived we thought that it was too small. But it worked out just fine. Very clean sheets and blankets. I also have to mention the friendly staff that maintain the area. Extremely courteous and helpful as well. I would stay there again on my next trip. Thank you John and family for taking good care of us.

This apartment was so well located. Close to the freeway and access to so many attractions. We visited Coronado island multiple times (Segway tour was awesome) , Balboa Park, Mission Bay, Gaslight area. The communication and explanation of everything was spot on. The apartment was perfect for myself and my 2 teenage kids. I took the Queen bedroom, and one son had the loft room and the other had the pull out sofa. We each had our own space and privacy. I personally think it would be pretty cozy for 5 or more. I loved the design of the apartment and the spiral staircase was such a wonderful design element. I took lots of photos of the place as I found it really visually pleasing. The week we were there was very hot and humid and everything that was described in the instructions worked with regards to cooling the place down. (Opening windows, fans etc) We drove pretty much everywhere, using the apartment as a base. The other reviews I had read were helpful, pointing out that the neighborhood is on the edge of feeling a little sketchy. So there were no surprises. Excellent value, clean, the bedding was super nice quality and comfortable. I would definately stay here again. John was very responsive to my few questions. Nice touches, quarters for laundry, waters in the fridge, tea bags (I forgot mine). This was only my second experience with Air B&B and by far this place was the best.

I highly recommend this location! The host is easy to get a hold of, the location is excellent, and facilities clean and furnished well. Great location close to downtown, shopping, restaurants, groceries, I-5, the zoo. We didn't have to drive far for any of the great things San Diego has to offer. A good, clean place to sleep, shower, and get on with the day. To be aware: The space is small and the loft room does not offer much privacy. The winding staircase to the loft is a tight fit for the average person. Parking: We usually had to park about half a block away because the street parking along the house was hardly open towards the evenings and some days the trash/recycling was in the way for close street parking as well. But even then, it was an easy walk, just more inconvenient if you have bags or groceries. Overall, you will be glad you stayed here.

Great location and a cozy place. It fit an active family five just fine. It was a convenient drive to SeaWorld, The Beaches and the Zoo. Extremely friendly and accommodating host with fast response!

I am very hands on when assistance is requested by our guests while doing my utmost to respect their privacy. My wife is from Osaka so we travel to Japan on a fairly regular basis. She of course speaks Japanese fluently and is happy to respond to any of our Japanese guests. My children's nationalities are Japanese, Italian, French, Spanish, Irish and American, otherwise known as Earthlings. My wife and I look forward to resuming our favored recreational past time of Scuba Diving in the South Pacific as soon as our sons are old enough to join us.
