À propos de ce logement
Private home on a quiet dirt road, 9 miles from the slopes, close to I-89, and minutes from restaurants and shopping. The exposed beams will really give you that cabin feel as you look out into the forest and take in the fresh mountain air. There's a large deck and fire pit to enjoy under the stars during the warm months.
Before we start, here are 3 THINGS PEOPLE LOVE about our Stowe Chalet:
1 - The CHARACTER in this home creates a charming energy throughout. Wide plank pine flooring, hand hewn beams and a quirky shingled stairwell make this home truly unique.
2 - Our GIANT PINE TREES are majestic on this property. In summertime, our trees enclose the yard to complete privacy where you can barely see our neighbors. During spring, you can pick fiddleheads right in the backyard!
3 - The LOCATION of this house is so easy to find/access. Minutes to downtown, breweries, grocery stores, the ski resort.
Here are 2 THINGS TO CONSIDER before renting:
1 - We have put a lot of love in our home so NO PARTIES nor loud music or any kind of loud noise outside is permitted, out of respect for the neighbors around us.
2 - 4 wheel or all wheel drive is recommended especially during winter months. Our road is dirt and theres 2 ways to get to the house but both involve going uphill to the house, and the driveway has a steep pitch as well. It gets plowed, but does get slick. Northern Vermont in general has lots of dirt roads and slick conditions even in spring and fall -so please choose your vehicle wisely.
Accès des voyageurs
Whole house is yours, treat as your very own vacation home. We expect the house to be left the same way it was left for you.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We like to greet people when they arrive and then pretty much leave them alone during their stay. Sometimes I'll send an email or text just to check in and make sure guests are doing well or have any questions but otherwise we like people to feel like our home is theirs.
Quiet residential neighborhood on a dirt road. Heavily wooded 1 acre lot.
We have a steep driveway -that does get plowed in winter, but we highly recommend having a car with 4 wheel drive, and winter tires to avoid getting stuck. Stowe is known for lots of snow in the winter, as well as mud in the spring. We are not responsible for stuck cars.
Our home is not a hotel, although cleaning service is included in your stay, we expect guests to keep house as it was presented to them.
-Clean dishes, wipe down counters, throw away any left over food in fridge
-Trash goes in trash bin outside front door as does recycling
-Strip sheets off bed and put in laundry basket
-Put dirty towels in the laundry basket
-Please make sure all of you personal belongings are taken, as we are not responsible for anything left behind.
-Turn off all lights
We live in a quiet residential area and are looking for respectful Guests who will treat our neighborhood and our home as their own. We expect guests to leave the house as it was left for them.
Clean up after yourselves -when departing, strip sheets off beds, throw used towels in hampers, and take out trash. We ask that you wipe down counters, turn thermostats down and clean dishes.
Respectful friendly gatherings are ok, that said, wild parties are strictly forbidden and extra Guests not mentioned in the booking are not tolerated. Any sign of disturbance, wild music & noise, or party, including disturbance reported by neighbors, will be penalized $500, and in extreme cases ticketed and kicked out of the premises.
Please advise us if you want to enjoy late checkout-message me, in the event where it's possible, there is no charge, otherwise please respect the 11am checkout since cleaning crew must prep the place for the next guests. I grew up in CT, and have been living in NYC for the past 7yrs before I moved to VT recently. Definitely a big change from the big city, but really loving the country life =) I've now been here for 4 years living in Stowe, VT and have 2 kids and 2 dogs.
