À propos de ce logement
A sweet guest room that offers an adjoining guest room if needed.
This guest room is very large with a high queen size canopy bed with steps and two single beds and a baby's cradle. Down comforters and feather pillows are also available in the room. We offer TV and WiFi service, but there are no phones in the room. Most everyone has a cell phone they prefer to use, but there is a portable phone in the hall sitting area that is available for local and free long distance calls. In this area is also a small refrigerator with bottled water and a small microwave, all complimentary and for your use.
The guest room is decorated very nicely, with some nice antiques complimenting our 1848 home, and has an adjoining guest room that accommodates four guest also. We do offer a nightly turn down service for your convenience. There is guest a bathroom outside the bedroom and down the hallway, and fruit and snacks are available at all times in the butlers kitchen downstairs. A continental breakfast is offered every morning and is available at 7:00 AM or according to our guest's schedules.
The neighborhood is quite and has one local restaurant, a Dollar General, Gas, Pharmacy, Sports Shop, a Bank.and a local doctor. The nearest shopping and other restaurants are 7 miles from us in Greensboro, Georgia. Our nearest hospital is also located there.
We are in a unique location, being about an hour West of Augusta, North of Macon, East of Atlanta and South of Athens. There are a lot of small towns in between with shopping, restaurants, attractions, and etc., so there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. If you are into sports we have Georgia Bulldogs football in Athens in the fall, the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta in the spring, and locally there is Durhamtown with ativities for everyone all year.

We are always here if you have any questions or need anything. We want to respect your privacy but would also enjoy visiting with you.
We live by the train tracks & the trains run day & night. We usually have one come through during the night, & with our 14" thick walls, most guests don't hear it. Those that do say they don't hear it after the first night.
Make yourself at home and enjoy your stay. You are staying in a historic home, so feel free to inquire about it and look around. There are no specific house rules, just be considerate of other guests, and let the host's know if you will be coming in after midnight. Late arrival is perfectly fine, we just need to be aware so we can accommodate you. If you are a smoker, we have a covered breezeway and a patio; both with a sitting area for you to enjoy your smoke.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 7 jours avant le voyage, vous recevez un remboursement à hauteur de 50 % et les frais de service vous sont remboursés intégralement.

We are husband and wife in our 70's and retired. We love people and having guests come and enjoy our beautiful circa 1848 home. We look forward to meeting a lot of new friends when they visit us, and take a step back into history.
