A thatched 17th century cottage in the middle of a small rural village, about 20 minutes west of Oxford City and 10 minutes from Abingdon.
The perfect antidote to our busy lives. A quiet & calm space to relax.
The cottage is a gorgeous place to stay! Friends and family always say they feel thoroughly spoiled, starting with the very comfy bed. Bed linen is of good quality (usually Egyptian cotton), fluffy towels and toiletries are provided for you to use during your stay.
A simple breakfast using only good quality produce is provided for you to help yourself to - toast, cereal & yoghurt.
A full cooked breakfast menu, using local produce where possible, is available on request at an additional charge.
The space is perfect for a mini-break or to use when visiting nearby friends and family.

I work from home so enjoy welcoming/interacting with guests on arrival and during breakfast, although I'll probably leave you to enjoy your meal alone.
I'm a very sociable person and know the area quite well so should be able to help guide you in the right direction for most things.
Parking is on the road, but this is perfectly safe. The village is quiet, with mainly only residents accessing road. If you're bringing bikes with you, you're welcome to store these in my garden shed (depending on space) or the garden.
There is a proper pub - The Blue Boar - that serves food in Longworth, the next village, which is about a 20 minute stroll (both ways). However, I am sometimes able to provide you with a home-cooked supper at a reasonable cost. Ask for details.
This is a clean, tidy, quiet space and I welcome guests who appreciate the same.
I welcome everyone to stay here (LGBT friendly).

Hi, I earn my living as a marketer and tutor. I love both equally, although I my dream would be to turn an idea I have for a very special, socially responsible business into reality. We'll see...I'm a firm believer in that fact that if you want something enough then you can usually make it happen.
I love all things jazz and cake related. Volunteering for Contact the Elderly ticks both those boxes (I'd have to explain why). I also co-host a monthly radio show.
The eldest of four (make of that what you will...) and mother to two adult children, one of whom is currently exploring full time living in South Africa with her partner and my first grandchild.
What's important for me in terms of the space I rent (or host). A comfortable bed, good linen, cleanliness, quietness and smiley hosts. I'm easily contented but also appreciate the finer things in life if they're provided. Not a cat lover, but I could cope with them if you are.
