You'll be staying in on of our 4 guest cabins on our ranch. The cabins are a little higher up the mountain than the ranch. If you want to you can always come down to the ranch to hang out with the horses.
The cabins are connected by an outside deck and every cabin has a BBQ that you are free to use.
Outside there are fire-pits and seating areas which you are free to use. We provide free firewood and fire starter packages as well

Échanges avec les voyageurs

Au moins, nous sommes toujours sur le ranch si vous avez besoin de nous. Le ranch est séparé des cabines (200 m) afin que vous ayez toute l'intimité que vous voulez avec l'aide à proximité.

At least on of us is always on the ranch if you need us. The ranch is separate from the cabins (200m) so you have all the privacy you want with help nearby.

Autres remarques

If you'd like to book a trail ride on the ranch it is smart to book that in advance as well, especially in high season (June-Sept), as sometimes it can be very busy and we would hate it to disappoint you.

Feb 2017: We are very happy to say that we finally got better internet at the cabins!

Wonderful stay! Clean, cozy and modern cabins with a gorgeous view. Kitchen was well equipped and there were fire pits and wood available. Our hosts were friendly and very accomodating and we brought our dogs without issue. My only (small) complaints were that the walls were thin enough that you can hear the neighboring rooms quite clearly, and our bed was harder than what I'm used to. Even so, I'd go back again in a heartbeat!

My friend and I traveled together for a girls weekend from Edmonton staying from Friday to Sunday. The location was easy to find and was set far enough away from the town that you got to enjoy the nature, but was close enough to town. We checked in with one of the owners and he showed us up to the cabin – we didn’t have the most welcoming of a first impression, but he showed us where we needed to go and got his job done. He informed us that there was going to be ‘a bus load of people’ coming to the ranch later for ‘a show’ and we were more then welcome to join. We were set up in the Fall cabin – everything looked great. Small kitchenette, a pullout couch in the living room and a king bed (two twin beds put together) in the bedroom. First Issue: the lighter provided in the room was empty, so we had to go into town and purchase our own lighter ($12 from IGA). Seems like this may have been a common issue since we had other guests asking to borrow a lighter. Second Issue: no kindling or newspaper to start the fire, and the firewood was left out in the open so when it rained, most of the firewood got wet. They also provided a flashlight, but again, didn’t work as all batteries were dead. Third Issue: Entertainment. The owner never told us an exact time for this ‘show’, by the time we got down to the main ranch, the show must have been over. When we arrived, there was a tour group that was getting photos done on the horses – not a single person, including anyone from the ranch, bothered to approach us. The tour group was mostly non-English speaking and so we ended up standing around for half an hour before giving up and just leaving. Fourth Issue: WiFi. At no point in our trip did Wi-Fi ever work. The pop-up stated that it was an Incorrect Password, but in a brief text to the owner Lissy, she said “Wi-Fi is spotty, it’s the right password but sometimes it doesn’t work”. I am confident that it was not a network issue as the Wi-Fi showed a full strength signal and the error that popped up was not “issues with connecting” it was a clear “incorrect password”. Fifth Issue: We pulled out the couch to watch movies on and found an extra blanket and 2 pillows…but no sheets or pillow cases. So we had to make due with using blankets to cover them. We also decided to grab some pillows from the bedroom for on the couch and we found greasy type stains on the back of the grey pillows on the bed. Grossed us out to all heck and made us wonder whether everything else was washed / cleaned properly. Sixth Issue: The well water had quite the putrid smell, something outside their control though.

We stayed at Willow Ranch together with our friends for two nights in August. The place is amazing: it is far enough to get privacy and has all you need to feel comfortable. We used the bbq, spent evenings near the fire pit and enjoyed the landscape in the mornings. Our cabin was nice and clean: equipped kitchen, comfortable king size bed and huge terrace. We saved this place for future trips for sure.

The cabin is a very nice place to stay. It has everything you need and more. The only thing they can improve on is the water quality? Somehow the water has a weird smell/taste, possibly because it's newly built? Overall it was a lovely experience. I will recommend to my friends.

Willow Ranch is a nice getaway. We were 2 couples and occupied one cabin which was perfect. We had to arrive very late at night but the staff at the ranch kindly waited for us. Wifi doesn't work very well at the cabin, but who needs internet in such picturesque place? There are horse trail tours that one can book at the range which sounds like great fun.
