Occasionally. Some people like privacy and we understand. Treat us like a hotel room or chat with us.
We now have more than 26 reviews combined for all four of our rooms and have had a lot of amazing guests! So let me take a moment and address a couple female's concerns about the neighborhood. Let me start by saying New Orleans and especially Bourbon Street is in a general state of disrepair and looks dirty and unkept. About 85% of our city looks like my neighborhood. To people coming from other cities like Stacy who wrote a review we would be unfairly classified as a "sketchy" neighborhood. Well welcome to New Orleans the city we love. There are homeless people everywhere and the streets are filthy but our neighborhood is one of the safest in the city. Me and my family live here and have wonderful neighbors who keep a close eye out not only for each other but our guests. We are Ivy League educated and military officers and we do live on the property which Stacy says we don't. We are always working or traveling and open our beautiful rooms to guests that appreciate a very very very low rate usually less than $49 per nite. Most places in New Orleans that offer beautiful rooms with hardwood floors cold AC and a comfortable place to sleep would cost you $140 and up per nite if not more. Go ahead and do a search on booking websites. So for anyone that's scared of dirty streets and homeless people we encourage you to cancel your trip to New Orleans. If you appreciate a room that's worth at least $99 or more per nites or New Orleans for less than the cost of two people going out to eat then please Book with us. Our house isn't the dirty streets and we don't have homeless people living in our house. We walk the street at all hours and have had no problems and neither have the guests that write nasty reviews about our neighborhood. They are simply scared! If you are naturally scared of your own shadow we encourage you NOT to book with us. We don't need anymore reviews from people who are just naturally rude and afraid of their own shadow. We want people who are respectful and appreciate a decent priced room that is clean pretty with new plush beds and centrally located. Please don't book here if you are going to slam the city or the neighborhood we call our home. We love our guests and have had amazing people to stay and hope we can get more of those people and not the high maintenance ones. We are not the Ritz!
Trolley and bus
Come and go and have fun! But we adhere to a strict noise policy. Respect and common courtesy for other guests in the house. Please do NOT park on Clio street as cars are towed daily by neighbors but there is plenty parking on the cross streets and never ask the neighbors for help entering the house. If you need any help do NOT ask the neighbors but rather call the number listed here for Joseph. Also we do not accept pets due to allergens. Must not get drunk and wasted on you're stay to New Orleans. If you do you will be asked to leave the property. You must agree to take one key and one key only from the lock box or we will have to charge an additional 50.00 for the missing key. There are extra keys in the box and they are to the front door for other guests to pickup when they arrive. Washer and dryer use is not available due to the high cost of electric and water.
