This modern holiday cottage overlooking the Yorkshire Wolds is available for weekly stays or longer (up to 28 days) At times other than school holidays (peak holiday seasons) we can offer short stays of 3 or more nights.

Le logement

This building, originally a stable block, has been renovated into a luxury single storey holiday home. With stunning exposed brickwork and restored original roof trusses, it's a great retreat for a quiet holiday. The property has 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins (which can also be a double) an en-suite, a wet-room, a large bathroom and a large open plan living, dining & kitchen area. The underfloor heating is provided by an Air Source Heat Pump with individual room stats and Solar Thermal Panels heat the hot water.

Outside the living room is a securely fenced garden with large patio and BBQ area which overlooks open countryside. Through the garden gate there is a large grassed area where children can run around and play.

The property, large patio garden and surrounding grass play area with a football goal are provided for guests to enjoy.

We offer secure bike storage and plenty of off street parking.

A weekly rate (for stays of 7 nights) is available through Airbnb but for discounts on stays of 4 nights plus (which include Friday & Saturday nights) which do not equate to an exact 7 days please contact us.

We now have a tearoom on the site - The Fiddle Drill - which is open Friday,Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 4pm

We very much enjoyed staying at the Stables. The accommodation is of a high standard with comfortable beds, well equipped bathrooms and kitchen area. The living area is spacious and has lovely distance views over the Wolds. Very convenient location for local walks and visiting Beverley, with easy parking and access. We were particularly impressed by the underfloor heating - very cosy in cold weather.

The cottage was clean, spacious and with sufficiently amenities. The kitchen space is charming and is great if you'd prefer cooking, instead of eating out. Back yard is equipped with a BBQ grill, a great bonus if you're staying in summer as it comes with a great country side view. Overall a lovely stay, as we enjoyed the cozy yet modern interior style! Only problem we had was that there wasn't any hot water on our last day, but Liz said she will be more aware of that in the future.

This was a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely return. The house is very spacious and has everything that you would need. It's very peaceful with great views of the countryside but within an easy drive of supermarkets and other shops. Highly recommend.

We very much appreciated the space and amenities of cottage. It also has a marvellous view from the living room. We were doing quite a lot of walking in not-very-good weather and it was great to get back to a welcoming environment. The Wolds are not one of the best known holiday areas and all the better for it; but there a lots of interesting local churches and villages as well as the hills themselves. Liz was always very helpful - as was the well-stocked local Tesco!

Liz is a lovely host, she really has thought of everything, little extra touches like the washing powder, shower gel, etc really makes a difference. The property is immuclate, very clean, practical but still feels very homely! We felt the price was so reasonable for what you get at Liz's property. A* property we would definitely return if in the area again.

Having lived in Yorkshire all my life I know East & North Yorkshire well.

When I left nursing to help with the family business I missed the one to one contact with people so we decided to convert our traditional farm buildings to holiday lets. We are now able to share our countryside experience with our guests. I manage the two modern holiday cottages personally. l hope guests find the cottages are well equipped but if there's anything I have missed I am happy to have ideas!

As well as the cottages I help with our farm & haulage businesses. We have lived at Manor Farm for 35 years so I am actively involved in the village as a member of the village Parish Council & the village Church.
My husband Paul & I live on the farm so one of us is always at hand if our guests need anything When we are on holiday our son James is only 5 minutes away.
