We have a room available in our newly remodeled, spacious industrial-style apartment in the trendy Mission district that we'd like to share with guests and travelers.

Le logement

This is a pretty unique industrial-style building in the trendy corner of the Mission district, not yet known for its magnificent street art and murals. The spacious brick structure was built in 1932 by French immigrants, and operated as a work-live industrial laundry until it was abandoned. After an extensive remodel, it now lives a new life as a Residence, Art Gallery and Cafe, repurposing it to a modern-day community living.

Heated floors for a cozy feeling, brand new bathrooms with in-unit laundry, four bedrooms, a generous kitchen with access to a private roof deck with a gorgeous view of Bernal Heights.

This short-term listing is registered with the City of San Francisco. STR-(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Accès des voyageurs

This is a pretty unique space. The Residence sits on top of a Cafe, Art Gallery and Event Space called "The Laundry", a very quintessential San Francisco place. During business hours, you are given a guest pass as a complimentary benefit.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

We are an eclectic mix of local and international roommates and transient house guests, and passionate about our City and neighborhood. We want you to feel welcome and be equally captured by the City we so much love.

Autres remarques

Open to short and medium-term roommates and house guests of all backgrounds.

Modern, clean residence in an accessible location. Gianmatteo is a friendly and accommodating host with excellent communication. If you need a place in the Mission, this is it!

First of all, Gianmatteo is an excellent host. Friendly, informed, reactive: it was quite a pleasure to interact with him. His place is right in the heart of The Mission, on one of the best blocks in town probably. The loft looks exaclty like in the pictures and everyting was spotless. Would definitely return there.

SF is where people go to be free, make transit, struggle to pay rent, find funding/inspiration for ideas...themselves. The city is rich in human capital, join in the experience. The Laundry coffee house, gallery, event space, habitation is very cool. It is run by engineers, barristas, and people trying to make significant local community contributions, expressions of art, good cups of coffee, and dialog. All while affording to live in a pricey city that is busy but not bustling. I made so many stories on that trip, like I had a Swiss psychologist in pajamas make me coffee in the morning and discuss language patterns in institutions/management and how they effect innovation. Mind blown. The minimal items in the space, reflecting the international influence and art gallery aesthetic, allows you to share living space with an easy simplicity. The bathrooms and kitchens are clean white and my white linen duvet and bed was sooo comfortable. I was happy waking up each morning and didn't even meet Gian for two days. I was able to get in and out of the house quickly and quietly each morning and night. I even got locked out one night at 1AM an Gian got me remote entry. (Always keep your phone powered) Gianmatteo is super intelligent, knows Apple technologies, how to code compilers, cook, and manage major product launches. If you're a techie, like so many in, or coming to, SF are, you'll easily talk to Gian about that or plenty of other subjects. He cooks fresh food due to a produce market next door. He's italian, go figure. We were both too busy to cook though, so we drank coffee once for an hour and laughed about opportunity and operating systems. I rented a bike from (URL HIDDEN) 6 blocks away and biked all over the city. They also do bike tours. You can find pics tagged with haiku poems on @haikunick on IG from my trip. I'll share my best finds: 1) drink coffee downstairs and chat up the people. Find events for The Laundry on their (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) page and plan to attend if you have time. It's literally at your doorstep. If you bike, rent one, then become a Local on two wheels. $35/day - Nick at Dandycycles, look for the D sign on the house, got me a sturdy bike, noted map, and easy vibe. So chill, so easy. Gian doesn't have a bike but he let me fit one in neatly in the hallway before the stairs. Give him a heads up if you do that. 2) OMG - Mission Commity Swimming Pool, check the web sit for lap hours. If you love swimming laps, this open air, salt water pool is "hella" sweet!. Bring goggles and $6 - exact change! Valencia St has some cool shops and quick restaurants. I went to Bissap Boabob on 19th/Mission. Good senegalese food, then turns into an afro/latin dance club after 10. It gets crowded but it gets down with gorgeous women. Dolores...

This apartment is just beautiful. Steps away from la taqueria and about a 20 min walk away from Deloris park. The host is super kind and willing to give great tips about the neighbor hood. This was amazing for a quick stay and I cant wait to come back and rebook this space.

Beautiful modern apartment above an art space. Gianmatteo was welcoming and responsive. Excellent location near Arizmendi Bakery, Red Art Poppy House, and many Mission restaurants.
