This is a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment we just did a full luxury remodel on. The kitchen is high-end. The floors are hardwood. The appliances are stainless steel. The counters and the bathrooms are stone. The yard is private, well landscaped, furnished and behind a 6 foot tall privacy fence with a locked door.
This is a four unit property with a duplex on one side and a front house and back house on the other side. This apartment is the front unit of the duplex. We own all 4, and each unit is remodeled with private outdoor space. There is one parking space in the back of the building for each unit.
Take advantage of our kitchen for meals, or venture out and sample some awesome San Diego restaurants during your stay here! Start the morning off right with some coffee in the kitchen, or pick up coffee at one of the numerous neighborhood coffee stands and walk two blocks to the beach for a stroll as you watch the surf.
We are blocks from some of San Diego's most iconic beach spots. Have a hamburger at Hodad's or get a scoop of ice cream between two flavored freshly made mini-waffles at Lighthouse. Also, eating at the quirky restaurant way out at the end of the Ocean Beach Pier is something that shouldn't be missed. Of course, you will have your own BBQ grill, and it's always a good time to cook out.
After lunch, head back home and take a nap on one of the cozy couches or relax in the comfy outdoor furniture in your private yard.
If you like shopping, you are virtually 10-20 minutes from any destination in the greater San Diego Metro area. I would suggest starting with the cool little shops a couple blocks away on Newport Ave for the original artwork.
At night, you have a number of really incredible options. On one of the nights of your stay, you have to walk down the beach and have a bonfire in one of the beach fire pits. It's an absolute imperative... a must do beach experience. The smell and sound of the ocean, the feel of the sand, the smell of the fire, the taste of the s'mores......
We also have the restaurant Beau Bo just a couple blocks away for a romantic dinner. Try the lobster risotto. ...and there are so many other great restaurants within walking distance: Kaiserhoff, OB Noodle House, etc
For Touristy stuff... well, the beach is two blocks away. Step out on the sidewalk and look to your left. It's that blue thing where the land ends. SeaWorld is a five minute drive. The World Famous San Diego Zoo is a ten minute drive away. Disneyland is a ninety minute drive.

I live nearby, and I'm frequently hopping around to our vacation rentals in the neighborhood. If you are someone who likes to just do your own thing, then we have electronic locks. If you like the host-y touch, then I'm happy to meet you on check-in and make tourist-y and foodie recommendations.
Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own.
If you need anything before, after or during your stay, we are just a text, call or email away.
Our home has an electronic lock on the door. The codes needed to enter the property are available 48 hours prior to check-in.

Please leave the house in the same condition you found it as when you first arrived.
