Newly refurbished, traditional Edinburgh flat (125 yrs old). Very bright & sunny in a quiet but central location in bustling Tollcross, 10 minutes walk to Princes Street & the delights of the old town. Great cafes, restaurants & bars on the doorstep. Lovely shared garden which is perfect to relax in on a nice summer afternoon. We aim to provide everything you might need for a short city break, welcome pack: shower wash, shampoo, toothpaste, tea, coffee, milk, olive oil etc. Laundry facilities.
A modern space in a traditional building. We have lovingly restored the period features - picture rails, cornices and ceiling rose, and invested in high quality furnishings aimed at giving visitors a comfortable, relaxing stay. There is a large, well kept communal garden where you can rest your weary feet and enjoy a glass of wine or gin & and tonic in a deck chair. This being Scotland we've also provided a couple of umbrellas! When you're ready to hit the town you won't have to venture far, Edinburgh's great choice of traditional pubs, stylish bars and excellent restaurants is on the doorstep.

We live a short distance away and can be contacted for help and advice. We are happy to spend time at check-in giving guests information on what to do and how to maximise their visit. Clare is a native of Edinburgh and knows the area very well, Mike has lived here for 20+ years. We've also provided a detailed information pack which we update regularly.
Our property is in central Edinburgh and therefore parking is expensive (£3/hour) and can be in short supply. We don't recommend bringing a car, but if it's unavoidable we can provide advice on where to park. We are also happy for you to park at our house (which is free) and we can then drop you off at Lochrin Place, about 2 miles away.
Our flat is in a quiet traditional tenement stair so we would ask guests to respect our neighbours and not play loud music or disturb people when coming in at night, especially after 10.30pm. Parties and hen/stag groups are not allowed.
No smoking is allowed either in the apartment or in the communal stair. No stiletto heels please - they'll ruin the wooden floors!
I live in the beautiful city of Edinburgh with my husband Mike and 2 daughters, plus 2 step-children, mad Jack Russell terrier and 'lucky to still be alive' hamster.
Love New Zealand, Spain, Italy, New York and the Western Highlands of Scotland. About to start hosting (June 2016) hoping guests love our flat.
