Fantastic 5 bed on Clapham Common, 20 mins to Oxford St
Enter this property and you’ll see the original Victorian hallway tiles and at the front of the house, an elegant study. A sophisticated room with warm red walls, an ornate fireplace, antique desk, piano and a sofa which can fold out to sleep 2 more guests.
At the back of the house you’ll find the airy kitchen and dining space. This room is modern, with a tiled floor and a long wooden table with benches and chairs where you can enjoy an evening meal with the whole family. The glass doors fold right back onto this charming garden.. The kitchen space just around the corner is well-equipped with appliances, including an oven, kettle, toaster, blender, dishwasher and even a chalkboard wall. If you head downstairs to the lower ground floor, there is a vast games room with wooden flooring, a flatscreen TV with a DVD player, Virgin TV channels and an Xbox. This room has beanbags and a table tennis table. At the back of the house on this floor there is a double bedroom which has a glass roof which has views up through the garden. There is also a newly fitted bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet loo. A luxury double air mattress can be set up in the main space on this floor and can provide another bedroom for 2 more guests. On the first floor of this property you’ll find the large and elegant sitting room at the front of the house, decorated with warm colours. There is an ornate fireplace and beautiful original cornices and a ceiling rose, as well as a chandelier and a large bay window with views onto the Common. Also on this floor is the single child’s room, with a single bed, a wardrobe and desk. This bedroom has a modern bathroom with a glass shower unit, a sink and toilet.
Head up a floor and you’ll come to a double bedroom which has aubergine walls, a dark wood double bedframe, a mirror-fronted wardrobe and a desk. This room also has an en suite bathroom with a glass walk-in shower, a sink and a loo. The master bedroom on this floor has a superking size bed, two chests of drawers and a dressing table.
Towards the back of the house there is a large master bedroom with a large double bed. There are two large double windows that give have stunning views over Clapham Common. The room is furnished with dark wood including a dressing table, two bedside tables and two chests of drawers. In the corner is the entrance to an ensuite bathroom. Halfway up the stairs to the top floor, you will come across the terrace balcony, with a table, benches and chairs. Up one more flight of stairs to the loft bedroom, which has modern furnishings and a double bed under the velux windows. There are bookshelves, a wardrobe, a desk and a juliette balcony which looks down onto the terrace balcony and across the neighbourhood. There is also another en suite bathroom in this room with a corner bath as well as a glass shower unit, sink and toilet. In the basement of this property there are utility rooms and there is also a guest toilet on the ground floor.nPlease note this property comes with a resident cat!
There are two resident dogs at the property who will not be present during your stay.
