Enjoy the tranquillity that a cabin has to offer, a short 15-minute drive from the city centre of Trondheim. The cabins name, Sommerro, can be directly translated into “Summer Calm”, which suits this place perfectly. The cabin is a hundred years old and in similar conditions of how it was built - with no running water/plumbing. Electricity has recently been added. It is located on top of a small hill, with a view of the Litjvatnet-lake, where you can find both trout and pike.
As of right now there is only one bedroom, with an expanded queen-sized bed, and a fairly comfortable couch in the living room. However, we have a small loft that will, eventually, become an extra bedroom. There is also a small office, with a view of the lake, for those who like to bring along their work. Perhaps you have a book to finish, and need the right atmosphere to do so?
After having stayed the same for nearly a century, Sommerro has gone through some changes, and one is now able to enjoy the luxury that is electricity. There is also a fireplace and an oven, that will add both heat and a cozy atmosphere - or 'koselig', as we say in Norway. The bathroom is next on our ‘to do'-list, but these days there's merely an outhouse with an incinerator toilet. An outhouse is typical for Norwegian cabins, and adds tons of charm - if you ask us.
We get our water from a tiny stream nearby, do our dishes by hand, and our daily wash with water and a towel/cloth. It's all fairly primitive, but that's the way we Norwegians like our cabins.
It is somewhat mandatory to play a round of boardgames when at a cabin, and we have a lot at your disposal, so long as you put it back the way you found them.

Linen and towels are not included. However, if you have trouble bringing them yourself, let us know, and we'll try our best to arrange something.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
If we're in town we'll be able to show you the ropes, otherwise we'll leave the key in the key-box, and do the rest of the communication per phone.
We have a dog, and even though she won't be there when we rent out the place, it's worth noticing for those of you with bad allergies.
