The deck gets both morning and afternoon sun (during late Spring/ Summer) and has room for everyone. The sound of the river is nature's white noise, if you've never lived on a river, it's game changing, you will always want it.

A River Runs Through It is your mountain retreat on the Skykomish/Tye river in the quiet neighborhood of Timberlane Village. Close to hiking trails, river rafting, Stevens Pass ski area and Leavenworth, you’ll love this cabin for its proximity to outdoor activities just as much for its river views, secluded location, and cozy features like the wood stove and cedar paneling throughout the home. A couples getaway, a solo adventure, or a family vacation, this cabin never ceases to impress.

Relax in the living room with vaulted, cedar-lined walls and ceilings, make a fire in the new wood stove, and gaze out the large floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the river. The open concept kitchen has all of the amenities of home plus a blender, crock pot, coffee maker, and wine glasses in order to make your stay complete. You will feel like you are in a spa when taking a steamy shower in the cedar-lined bathroom that looks out to the river (luxury towels and toiletries provided). Stay cozy in our flannel sheets in the Winter, or stay cool in our luxury cotton linens in the Summer. Beyond the inside of the home, there are two community parks on the river that you will have access to for a picnic or dipping your toes in the water. If you don't feel like leaving home, kick back and relax on the spacious deck in Adirondack chairs and grill some dinner on the Weber grill.

Guests have access to the entire home, deck, surrounding yard, and community parks. Up to three cars can be parked in the driveway.

We are available at any time during your stay. Before your stay, please let us know if there is anything else you need in order to make your stay more customized. We have left instructions on how to operate the alarm system and fireplace inside the house, but if you need help with anything else, we encourage you to call or text us. We are happy to help.

Timberlane Village is a private community that is a quick 15 minutes from the Stevens Pass ski area, making it the closest neighborhood to the ski area and hiking trails. This quiet community sits along the Skykomish river, and is heavily wooded, giving it a very private and mountainous feel. Most homes are tucked away in the trees, and a lucky few placed on the river. There are two community parks that can be accessed by guests; One with picnic tables and a barbecue.

Guests will need to disarm the alarm system upon arrival and departure. The code and instructions will be provided during check-in. Guests may use the alarm system during their stay.
Please respect our maximum occupancy of 6, as our septic tank cannot handle any more.
No parties, please. We have a close-knit community that doesn't hesitate to report back to us on anything out of the ordinary.

Community and House Rules
We are happy to have you stay at our beloved cabin that is located within the Timberlane Village community. Please follow the community/house rules below, and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We reserve the right to hold the Renter, the primary name on the reservation, responsible if it is found that any of these rules are not abided by during your stay.

Firearms and Fireworks: No firearms, fireworks, or explosives shall be discharged (including for hunting or target practice purposes) within the Timberlane Village (“TLV”) community.
Vehicles: All vehicles must be parked within our driveway and not on the street. There shall be no more than 3 vehicles parked in the driveway at any given time. Any fines imposed on the property by the Homeowner’s Association due to parking in the street will be taken out of the security deposit or passed on to the Renter and will be required to be paid immediately.
The use of non-muffled vehicles, including motorcycles, motor bikes, and trail bikes, or similar vehicles, is prohibited within the TLV community. Vehicles use within TLV and operators thereof must comply with all laws and regulations applicable to vehicles and the operation of vehicles on public highways of the State of Washington.
It is prohibited to park a motor home, travel trailer, RV (“recreational vehicle”), or any oversized or commercial vehicle/trailer on any street within the TLV community, as it is prohibited to park any of these types of vehicles on our property as it will compromise the septic system’s drain field that lies under the driveway.
Animals: No animals or pets are allowed in the house or on the property. No exceptions. The full security deposit will be forfeited by the Renter if there are any signs of pets in the home or on the property.
Garbage: Due to the abundance of wildlife (bears, rodents, etc.) in our forested area, we cannot keep any garbage outside. Please separate garbage and recycling into the separate bins underneath the sink. There is a large black recycle bin on the front porch for CLEAN RECYCABLES ONLY. Please keep the lid closed. Do not put garbage in this bin. If you need overflow space for garbage, please contact the Owner for further instructions.
Septic System: Our home is on a private septic system that we constantly maintain to keep in working order. Foreign, non-compostable, objects and excess grease/oil can severely harm our system. Please to do not flush anything (including feminine products and baby wipes) other than the provided septic-safe toilet paper down the toilet. Please do not put food waste down the sink/disposal. For excess food waste/grease, please put it in a plastic bag (found underneath the sink), tie a knot, and place it in the garbage.
Heat/Fireplace: The baseboard heaters have thermostats throughout the house. These can be adjusted up and down, but you will find that the wood stove will actually be your best heat source and will heat the entire home up very quickly. Firewood can be found just outside in the woodshed, and there is a lighter and newspaper in a bin to the right of the wood stove. Please make sure all heat sources are turned down to 50 degrees upon your departure.
There are stairs up to the second floor and an open railing, so parental supervision is required for small children
