The House of the Morning Sun is our little piece of heaven that we are happy to share with you! Classic chalet style mountain home, smartly decorated in mid-century modern style. Bordering the national forest, our home is only two miles from Main Street Breckenridge. You’ll love it because of the light, the kitchen, the comfy beds, the high ceilings, and the views.

Enjoy open plan living on the main level, where you can relax in the living room and enjoy the streaming sun through the floor to ceiling windows or a cozy fire in the wood-burning stove. Cook a gourmet meal in our newly updated kitchen, which has all of the tools you’ll need, or, enjoy use of the outdoor barbeque grill and smoker for a cookout.
Nested among towering pines, our home boasts an upper level and lower level deck from which to enjoy expansive alpine vistas and unobstructed views of Bald Mountain. The upper level deck is outfitted with ample furniture for outdoor entertaining and a propane heater for chilly nights. On the lower level deck, you can soak off the day’s skiing or hiking in the 4-person Softub spa, while enjoying the mountain views.
Our home is equipped with three bedrooms (2 queens, 1 bunk bed). There are two full bathrooms, one on the upper and lower levels. The upper and lower levels are connected by a narrow staircase; there are also outside entrances to each level. Sleeps up to 6 comfortably.
The lower level TV room has two sofas and a wet-bar. Perfect for game-day!

The home offers maximum serenity as it is positioned on a dead-end road, yet boasts the added convenience of being located just minutes from Breckenridge Main Street.

We travel a lot, so email and text is the best!
While we are happy to welcome families with small children, we’d ask that children be under supervision at all times. Special attention should be paid to children when on the upper deck of the home, as it is very high.
The parking area is plowed, but we'd ask that guests chip in and help to clear paths and the deck during periods of snowfall. In the alternative, you can arrange for us to have the shoveling done at an additional cost (which we will pass on directly with no markup).
**4 night minimum for stays including a Friday or Saturday night during the ski season.
There is parking (uncovered) for two vehicles.
Although we have our home professionally cleaned between each guest, we have two dogs, so our property is probably not best for guests with severe allergies.

**** Four + night minimum for major festival and holiday weekends (i.e., Thanksgiving, Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Day, Spring Break).
Five night minimum for Christmas, Christmas week, and New Years.

PLEASE NOTE: We ask that all guests adhere to the agreed upon check-out time of 10 am. $25/half hour will be charged to guests staying past the 10 AM check-out time. This fee is passed through directly from our cleaning company. Thank you for your cooperation!
This home is a very special place for us. Therefore, we’d ask that you treat it like your own home and leave it as you found it (or better).
Specifically: never leave the burning wood stove unattended; lower the volume after 11 to be respectful of the (very few) neighbors; no smoking of any kind in the house; shower before entering the spa; and have fun!!

My sister, Brittanny, and I own our Telluride condo together (we are not a management company!). Brittanny is in PR and I'm a corporate lawyer. We love Telluride - skiing, hiking, great food and wine, and good friends. We are thrilled to share our slice of heaven with you!
