Surrounded by green pastures, horses, and a creek, our place is a scenic 20 minute drive to the University of Oregon, shopping and dining. The Cascade Mountains and Pacific Ocean are an hour in either direction. Recreational opportunities abound. You'll have a private entrance, spacious and bright accommodations, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, W/D, TV, and a ping pong table. This is a large open and airy multipurpose room with its own bathroom and large utility room.
We actually have a fully functional dental chair --without the dentist! Imagine sipping your morning coffee, enjoying the view, while reclined in whatever position suits you. The other unique feature of the room is the ping pong table. Go ahead! The spaciousness of this apartment/big room, I think you will find relaxing. --No tripping over each other's stuff!
We can sleep up to 6 guests and there is still plenty of room.
The bathroom is all yours except for the cabinet, which stores our stuff.
Views to the east and west include graceful horses. (Yes, you can pet them over the fence.) For the most part, it's very quiet, but some of the natural sounds we love here are birdsong, soft hooting owls, Canadian geese honks, coyote yips, summer crickets, and frog song. Traffic noise is very light.
Accès des voyageurs
Your private entrance is directly from the driveway. You will first enter the "mud room," which is the shared portion of the rental because it contains the washer/dryer and our coats and boots. We try not to use it when we have guests, but likely there will be extra boots and coats in there --evidence of farm life. This is a great place to kick off your shoes, set down your bags, store your food, ( fridge and microwave included), and transition to your private room where you can relax. To respect your privacy, we block the interior door that connects your space to the rest of the house.

We come and go throughout the day. Feel free to call or text if we are out, and just come find us if we are around; we're happy to help you enjoy your stay, and get to know you if you like. If you want to explore the area, we have maps and knowledge from many years of living in western Oregon to guide you to the type of recreation you are looking for.
Cell phone reception out here is sketchy. (If you need to reach us, and we are not responding by text, please call our landline.) There is a landline phone in your apartment for use if needed. Texting generally works well. Guests have reported being able to use Verizon and Sprint for calls in the house. If you want to be sure you can call, just step out into the driveway!
Our three older children are grown and live an hour away. We have a delightful 10 year old daughter as well. My professional background is athletic training, but since 2000 I've been a full-time mom, wearing all the hats and trying to reserve a little time for exercise to stay fit. My husband is director of research for a biotech company.
We are very active; biking, running, and swimming. We enjoy our hobby farm with animals, gardens, and orchard. Our little herd of goats is one of our delights, and we love to introduce them to people. Camp Creek is a special community of generations of close-knit families. It has been a great place to raise our family and enjoy country life.
There are so many things to explore in this part of Oregon, from Ocean to Mountains, to University of Oregon, and more. We enjoy helping you to enjoy your stay!
