Hello I am Emma! I was Born in Manila, Philippines.
哈囉 我是艾瑪 在日本住很久 歡迎用中文或日文來信唷
Graduated with a degree of Bachelor Science Physical Therapy at Saint Jude College Manila. I am currently 38 years of age. I am married and I have a daughter.
As a child I was always fascinated with Japan; by its people and its culture. My mother worked and lived in Japan for almost 27 years. When I was a kid, I came to visit my Mother and enjoy Tokyo during summer holidays. Now my mother is retired, enjoying her life with one of my sisters in London, England.
After graduating from University, I worked a couple of years as a Physical Therapist at the Philippine Medical Association. Later I started to work as a Customer Service Representative, serving US and British customers. I grew very fond of this job.
Opportunity knocked on my door 8 years ago, when I was offered to work in Tokyo.
I have traveled mostly Asian countries such as Hong-Kong, Macau, Thailand, and Vietnam. I have also visited Cardiff, Wales and London in England. Beside living and working in Tokyo, I was fortunate to visit some parts of Japan such as Sapporo, Kyoto and Osaka. I believe that Tokyo is the safest and cleanest city that I know.
Japanese people are one of the most disciplined people that i know. When it comes to food, I enjoy their sushi, ramen, and sweets plus the sake that comes in a lot of different variety. I love traveling and discovering places. Even though I have been living and working in Tokyo for almost a decade, I know that there is still a lot for me to explore. Such as Temples and Tourist spots. In my spare time I try to explore the local area with my bicycle. Every discovery adds to my experience of living in Japan. I have been to Tokyo Disneyland, but I still did not experience Disney Sea. I have seen Mt. Fuji, but has not climbed it yet. These are on my bucket list, I hope to do them next year.
Another opportunity was presented to me when Airbnb started to operate in Japan. Friends started to experiment with Airbnb. They soon learned that it is a lot of fun, but also a lot of work if you want to do it right. I became enthusiastic. Not only do I like traveling, I also know a thing or two about Japan. I decided to join a network of like-minded people with different backgrounds. We are from Japan, China, Taiwan, The Netherlands, Australia, and yes we even have a Philippine girl :). Even though we are different, we have two things in common; a passion for traveling and providing excellent hospitality. We aim to be your friend in Japan. Together we work around the clock to make that happen.
If you are planning to visit Tokyo, or other parts of the country, I can assure you that you will have a wonderful time. Staying in our apartments will make your Japan Experience truly worthwhile!
