Our guest house is right across the street from a fabulous Co-op Market as well as an award winning library. Zuly's restaurant, a post office and public transportation are within walking distance. The location is quiet but conveniently located in the center of the village. Its proximity to Taos, Santa Fe and Sipapu Ski area make it great for rafters, skiers, snowboarders and tourists alike. Great for couples, families (with kids), and big groups.

This is a very lovely home and a good place for a northern New Mexico stay. The town is very small -- just one restaurant, a couple of wineries, and a good grocery/deli -- with some very interesting community members and a strong sense of neighborliness. The house is quite comfortable, and Dixon is well-placed for day-trips to Abiquiu or Taos, Santa Fe or Chimayo or Los Alamos. Enjoy the drives through very different spectacular landscapes. The only downside for us was that we were unaware that AT&T has very few places with a cell signal, so for us that made communication with the landlord ( or anyone else) challenging, but... welcome to New Mexico. The lack of a cell signal was a popular topic of conversation everywhere. But the wifi in the house did well by us.

The house is beautifully updated, is in the middle of a flourishing orchard, and has a deck looking out toward the mountains. It feels a little like going back in time. Great place to stay.

The house is in a great location, clean, and well-equipped. Jeff is a kind host and great at communicating. We loved the market co-op next door, which Jeff helped start. The library is right across the street and was perfect for our kids. The people of Dixon were all so friendly. The first night we arrived, we walked to Zuly's cafe down the street only to find out they had just closed. But instead of sending us away, they invited us in and made burritos for all of us. Delicious! And any direction you head is gorgeous scenery with plenty of activities. We visited Ghost Ranch, Bandelier, Valles Caldera (loved), Jemez Springs waterfall, and Taos. So beautiful!

My husband and I staying at Jeff's house for one month while we explored northern New Mexico to enjoy a respite from heavily populated southern California. Dixon is a very small town, but Jeff's home is conveniently located across the street from a food coop and a local library. The home is also within short distances to multiple wineries and a great brewery, Blue Heron. Everyone is very friendly and the community feels very close to one another. It was a great area to really explore and settle in to for a longer stay. Jeff's house is located on a large lot with fruit trees and chickens, and was incredibly comfortable and spacious. Their are two wood burning stoves, a beautiful large kitchen and heavy wood dining table, and multiple bedrooms with windows. The house has lots of natural light and is really cheerful and homey. We had everything we needed. There is even a beautiful trail to begin, walk just past the school and take a left. The trail takes you along a river and eventually will meet up again with the busy country road, at which point you can continue on a dirt path for a really long time. It's a beautiful walk and one we enjoyed nearly every day we were in Dixon. Dixon is also very commutable to Santa Fe, Taos, and the Colorado border. I would highly recommend staying at Jeff's place if you need some time to work and live in a really beautiful and unique part of New Mexico.
