My furnished studio is in the Taft Apartments. We have a sweeping view of the New Haven Green and East Rock behind. It is walking distance from Yale and a short cab/uber ride from the train station. Full, equipped kitchen and a doorman as well.
The amazing view and the old New Haven charm. President Taft did, actually, once live here. So did Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hemoburn, Eddie Cantor, Henry Fonda, and the Marx Brothers while they were performing at the Shubert Theater down the street. It is rumored Grouch Marx used to open his act by saying, "I got kicked out of the best hotel in the world, the hotel Taft in New Haven." The staff is still trying tog ogre out why. The Taft has also been featured in movies like All About Even, Death of a Scoundrel, and Splendor in the Grass. Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote "Oklahoma" here. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Eleanor Roosevelt were also guests. He list goes on and on.

I am a second year law student from Berkeley, California. I lived in Washington, D.C. for three years before moving to New Haven for school. My apartment is basically a library.
