À propos de ce logement

Need a temporary place to call home...but not a basement room or small accessory unit?

My place is 1,500 sq.ft. of cozy, clean space to stretch out and relax.

Located in Cathedral Park Neighborhood overlooking the Willamette River and Forest Park, the house has two levels with a modern kitchen, a deck with great views, separate master bedroom and a children's room with a canopy bunk bed (each with their own bathroom).

Le logement

My guests consistently say they are looking for a peaceful, clean, hassle-free, and easy-to-access place. This property is exactly that!

You're within walking distance of downtown St. John's, which has its own scene of funky local businesses, coffee shops, two historic movie theaters, a farmers market and the best bacon avocado omelet in town (John Street Café).

The house offers a good starting point to explore any of Portland's cool neighborhoods. You're 15 minutes from downtown by car and footsteps away from Forest Park, the largest and I think the most beautiful metropolitan park in the country.

Accès des voyageurs

The house has two floors and a deck on the second floor...all are open to you.

This place was amazing above and beyond what I expected it to be, Simon let us stay at his place for a month has everything you need to make home cooked meals and it very central to everything. I would really recommend this place to anyone wanting a full house to stay. Simon is a great guy very friendly and would stay at his place again if I ever come back

This was one of the best places I've stayed at on Airb&b. I loved everything about it. The place was super clean and cozy. Great location. St. James is a beautiful town. The neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you Simon for being so accommodating. For the price of this listing, it's gotta be the best deal in Portland.

Simon was a great host, and did all the little things right. He made us feel like friends staying at his place. His house is great for a small family. Simon keeps some puzzles and games in his spare bedroom for younger guests. The space is exactly as advertised, with two bedrooms and a master bath up and a half bath, kitchen and living room down. Also, his back porch overlooks the river and is really nice in the evenings. The house is also located very close to the St. Johns bridge with easy access downtown. Plus, St. Johns has a bunch of shopping on main street, which is about a mile from Simon's house. I'd definitely recommend staying here to a friend.

We just got home from our journey to the PNW and I am just sitting down to make sure I get everything. Simon's home is awesome, BOOK NOW! He was out of town during our visit but he was very friendly when he called to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. He was great at communicating so it was very easy to get into the home when we got there. He also made several recommendations on what to do in the area so I'm kind of sad we missed him. His home was very cozy, clean and spacious, it was hard to leave it when it was time to explore the city! The views from the balcony were beautiful as we could see both the Wilamette River and St. John's bridge, even with all the industrial parking lots below. We spent 2 weeks in the pnw and stayed at a few cramped hotels, so our 12 yo daughter enjoyed having her own room here and spent several hours in her "cubbyhole" reading (she loved the little lantern so she could read at night before bed). When she decided to hang out with us, we had several games and an adult coloring book to choose from. The bed in the master bedroom was VERY comfortable for my husband, 3 month old baby and myself. The couch was oh so comfortable, it was like sitting on a cloud! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and come home and cook dinner after a day of exploring. I wanted to bake a pie but we ran out of time, but it could have easily been done in Simon's kitchen. Simon had several books/magazines about the area on the coffee table and I took the Curious Gorge book with us for a waterfall hiking trip and it was helpful because when we got to Multnomah Falls, it was crazy packed and I was able to refer to the book to find a less traveled hiking route at another nearby waterfall "off the beaten path" with amazing views. I can't say enough good things about Simon or his home, we really enjoyed our stay in Portland. The area of town was nice and luckily not in the city center with traffic, but close enough to get to many different areas of Portland without any trouble. The only downside was having to lug my big heavy suitcase up 2 flights of stairs, but it was well worth it. Thank you Simon!

I grew up in Portland and love the parks, bike paths and non-stop fun and adventure of the Pacific Northwest.

When I'm not working, I mountain bike, kayak, ski and explore Portland. I have a niece and nephew that visit frequently, so one of the rooms in my house is set-up for kids.
