À propos de ce logement
Spacious apartment in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Just a 5-minute walk to several retail shops and boutiques, numerous restaurants and bars including Walnut Grille, Sushi Too, The Yard Gastropub, Girasole Italian Bistro, The Elbow Room and Tipsy Cow, and coffeeshops such as Coffee Tree, Starbucks, and Crazy Mocha. It's also a short walk to Oakland, where the Carnegie Museums, Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh are located, and a 20-minute bus ride to downtown.
You will have your CHOICE of a pull-out sofa bed in the large living room, with plenty of natural light and access to rooftop for smoking and people-watching, OR a foldaway twin bed in the bedroom, which is a bit quieter. Both rooms have private access to the shared bathroom.

Feel free to use the kitchen to make yourself breakfast in the morning or a snack at night. The bathroom is shared with me, but it is quite large and there is plenty of shelf space, as well as extra towels and toiletries.

"Every man I meet is in some way my superior, and in that I can learn from him." - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
This quote pretty much sums up why I enjoy meeting new and interesting people wherever I travel. I used to teach English in the Czech Republic, and hope to do some more teaching and studying abroad in the very near future. I currently tutor high school students in English and writing, and I'm working on my first independent film.
As for traveling and fun, I love going to see live music. I love a great music festival. And a great film fest, too. I also enjoy good food, beer, and wine in interesting locales surrounded by intriguing people.
While I am new to Airbnb, I have been an active member of Couchsurfing for years, and have a profile on that site with several positive reviews that should give you a pretty good idea of the type of guest or host I will be. Please contact me for the link to my CS profile if interested.
