Normally, I take care of the transportation myself and everything is no problem as we did it more than 50 times. But because you wanted some tips regarding how and where to change rubles into bahts, I have introduced you to Ilya via email, as he is a long term Russian guest who helps me when I am not here. When he told me everything was ok, I mistakenly thought he took care also of the transportation. It's really unfortunate and totally my fault, being out of Phuket for 3 months to solve personal issues, it's not a mistake I usually do
Our address is actually on Airbnb website once you confirm the booking, but of course, I totally understand the panic situation, with no local currency in your hands
As for compensation. I told Ilya to be very helpful to you, and as you mentioned, he brought you to the market anytime you needed, as you could not ride motorbike, because you were recovering from an injury. Mistake was from me, not from him, so he probably thought it was enough. We normally charge guests who don't drive to take them to the market as it is not so close. If you had been able to ride a motorbike, we would have offered you few days free of charge.
I understand the panic, and it was indeed, a mistake from my side, but we really lost only 30/45minutes as it was easy to find a taxi, as you mentioned, I was in contact with you online from the very first minutes and Ilya managed to call you and give the taxi the instructions. With good reaction from our side and service from Ilya to drive you to the market, I really thought we were forgiven and didn't think of any other compensation :-)
Sorry again for this, it never happened before, but I hope you still have enjoyed the beach
