The house overlooks a typical Venetian square just behind the famous Campo Santa Margherita, one of the liveliest spots of the city with clubs open until midnight.
Restaurants, bars, supermarkets, banks and interesting places to visit ... everything is within reach, just a few minutes away! It is a popular area very close to the train station, well served by public transport and just minutes from the most beautiful places to visit.
I have lived many years in this lovely house and together with my partner I personally designed it in detail. I just completed its restoration, creating the typical intimacy belonging to ancient popular Venetian interiors, but giving it a contemporary touch without neglecting comfort.
The entrance to the apartment is exclusive and you reach its inside without stairs.
The dining room of 35 square meters is characterized by two ancient screens reused as sliding doors giving access to two bedrooms. Of these the smallest with two single beds has two walls with exposed brick walls that give it a special intimacy. The larger one with a double bed, however, allows you to enjoy a pleasant tranquility. Its uniqueness may be found thanks to the recovery of a large fireplace (no longer functioning) carved into the wall at the foot of the bed.
The kitchen is housed in an adjacent open space connected to the living room. You will find all needed appliances such as fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher and toaster. To cook your meals there is a modern gas stove and a vent taking care of all odors.
The bathroom is rather small, nevertheless comfortable, covered with Bisazza mosaic and old beams on the ceiling like in the rest apartment. Inside you will find a washbasin, bidet, toilet and shower.
Near the entrance there is also a small corner dedicated to the laundry, with a washing machine and everything you need to make your laundry and ironing.
The large brick walls of the building will ensure a pleasant temperature especially during the summer. However you may also use the dehumidifier and fans, provided in the apartment, to make it even more pleasant.
One final note: the house is exempt from high water in autumn and winter, the so called “acqua alta” a phenomenon that sometimes in these seasons invades the city (there is a periodic report issued by the City to warn you). However, in the case of an exceptionally high tide, the apartment is equipped with a technological system that protects it without major disruption.
