À propos de ce logement
This amazing 1 bedroom apartment will serve you best. Located in an old-style building in a central area just a few minutes walk from Riga’s hidden treasure – Miera street. It is surrounded by the best coffee place, restaurants, wine and beer bars where tourists usually don’t get to go. And we will tell you all about it! Either you come to Riga for a quick business trip, romantic weekend with your love or exploring Baltic States solo, this is a perfect place for you to stay.
There is something about old building in this city. They give away the most precise idea of what Riga really is and the best experience to the travellers, who seek to see the true Riga. You will feel like local from the moment you enter the traditional entrance, follow up by time-honored staircase and enjoy the little historical details that are renovated in the apartment.
YOU WILL LOVE THE LOCATION
The apartment is located on the most accessible street in Riga – Brīvibas street. It is surrounded by plenty public transports, which will get you to all main attractions in the city. You have small grocery stores, a market, coffee and tea places, restaurants, and wine and beer bars in walking distance from the apartment. The apartment is not located in the old-town, but you can enjoy a chilled walk there through Terbatas street, which is filled with lovely cafes and boutiques, or simply take a bus.
YOU WILL LOVE THE DESIGN
The apartment itself is compact but truly enjoyable, because it has everything you might need for a stay. The apartment is called Baltic Design Apartment, because it embodies the way we see Latvian and Baltic design. The apartments are decorated in a minimalistic and simple way with added warmth to the details. We love easy interior, but seek to create a very home-like feeling to avoid sterile environment. Creating these apartments, we collaborated with Latvian artisans and designers to decorate the spaces. The apartment has wooden floors and lots of design elements that will make you feel at home. We have left one wall untouched and the old radiators to give you a glance how it was before we came in. A Lot of design pieces, including the clothing rack, are made by Baltic designers and produced locally.
YOU WILL LOVE YOUR MORNINGS
We provide tea and coffee in the apartment, so you can enjoy your morning cup at home. Everyone likes to have a bite with their drink, so we provide it too. We wouldn’t call it breakfast per se, but you can snack before you leave the house for sure!
YOU WILL KNOW WHERE TO PARK
There is a map of Riga’s parking zones and the tariffs in each one of them. If you come with a car and need a more long-term parking, we will suggest you the most suitable option for that time.
YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR STAY
We make sure that every guest is welcomed properly and they enjoy their stay in our apartment. We provide clean towels, freshly washed linens, soap, shampoo and all the basic equipment in the kitchen, so you can have a lunch at home, if you wish.
Accès des voyageurs
We will do our best to make your stay wonderful!
You will have an access to the whole apartment and a locked passageway from staircase to your door. Keep in mind: the elevator in this building does not work (but you will make it up, we promise, it’s just a second floor)! The apartment has a separate bedroom and studio living room with a kitchen. It has a double bed and a couch, work desk and chairs, bathroom with a bath and kitchen equipped with the basics: fridge, stovetop, kettle and dishes.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We are a family that owns this apartment, so you will be welcomed by one of us. If you arrive by 7pm, we will greet you personally, but if you check in after 7pm, the key will be stored in a lockbox in the staircase. In this case we will try to see you another time during your stay! If we somehow don’t see you, you will have all necessary information provided in the apartment, as well as our phone number where you can reach us any time!
The apartment is located on the Brivibas (the freedom) street, and there are a lot of advantage being situated on such a main street – the transport system is easy and accessible, as well as the places you can visit around.
We could suggest you a place with multiple cafes, where you can enjoy brunch, lunch, amazing craft beer and wine, and it is only 9min walking distance. The best coffee place in town – Rocket Bean Roastery – is just 8 min walking distance (and we don’t lie saying that it really is the best coffee in Riga!), and if you love chocolate, you can visit chocolate museum and store Laima that is just 8 min walking distance. And just in 10 minutes you can reach a market – Vidzemes market, where you can get fruits and veggies (especially in summer and autumn, when you can get all seasonal groceries). Overall it is a really good place to stay and enjoy your time in Riga!
As we mentioned, it is really easy to get around the city when you’re in our apartment! When you come from the airport, there are a couple of options. You can take a taxi, which is the fastest and will cost you about 12-14 EUR (15-20 min in an easy traffic). You can also take “Riga Shuttle Bus” minibus and will cost you 5 EUR (Minibuses leave “Riga International Airport” every 30 minutes from 10:30 a.m. till 7 p.m. and takes about 20-25 min). Or you can take a city bus No.22, which is the cheapest option – 2 EUR (about 30min to the old town + another bus to the apartment).
It takes only 12-15 min by public transport to get to the old town, but if you take taxi – it will be only 6 min. If you decide to walk to the central part of the city, we suggest taking the Terbatas Street, which is very charming and locally beloved. It has plenty of cafes, restaurants, little boutique stores and more.
In couple of minutes reach there is bus stop (buses that go there: ), trolleybus stop (trolleys that go there: 3, 5, 12, 13, 14, 15) and tram stops (one stop: 3, 6, other stop: 11 and RETRO), which will get you basically everywhere.
If you wish to go to Latvian Ethnographic Open Air museum, which is very nice, it takes about 40min bus ride with just one bus.
If you feel for a taxi, there are a couple of options we can suggest. You can use AirBaltic Taxi, which is very reliable. If you’re on a budget, you can use the cheapest taxi firm (which is also fine) – Panda taxi. But if you stay for longer, we suggest you to download Taxi App “Taxify”, which has very good prices and quality (works like Uber).

Hi there! We are Steinberg Family, and we own a few apartments, which are being rented on Airbnb.
We think it is really important that you know a little about each of us, who can possibly greet you at the arrival. Let’s meet:
> Mom Sandra is a charming lady, who appreciates good quality living. She is the one taking care of the apartments and makes sure that everything is as she would like it for herself. She loves shopping, and you can definitely ask her where to get the best stuff in Riga!
> Dad Jānis is a true handyman; therefore he is the one renovating the apartments. He’s the man who can make a place looking like landfill look like these beautiful apartments you see on our Airbnb.
> Son Toms is a manager of these places and sometimes you can see him running around and arranging stuff for guests and apartments. He’s a very positive and talkative guy, so grab him for a chat if you see him!
We are true Latvians, and sometimes we can come off as quite and unobtrusive, but we’re really friendly and nice deep down in our hearts. A warm hello and a nice conversation always breaks the northern ice!
To honor Riga’s and our country’s heritage, we have tried to revive historical parts from the apartments. We renovated 100-year-old wooden parquet in some rooms where it was possible, and which shows how the apartments looked decades ago. We’ve left the old radiators to give you a glance how they were before electric heating. We tried to reuse as many materials and details as possible to give you a true Riga feeling of how we remember it from our childhood. I guess we really try to bring together our heritage with modern living, and you have a chance to see how we have done it!
