We are located steps from the restaurants, cafes, bakeries, shops, galleries, and historic Regent Theatre on Picton's Main Street.
Across the street, you can walk through Delhi Park, with its new community garden, and beautiful Glenwood Cemetery. Walk or bicycle up our street to McCauley Mountain Conservation Area. We are also a short walk from Picton Harbour. Sandbanks Provincial Park, wineries, and the fine shops and restaurants of Bloomfield and Wellington are within a 20 minute drive.
Our house dates from about 1880 and features original woodwork throughout. Your room is the large, sunny 2nd floor master bedroom with 3-piece ensuite. It has a 4-poster queen bed and a generous bay window sitting area.
Accès des voyageurs
On the main floor, you have access to a bar fridge, toaster over, coffee maker and electric kettle. To get you going in the morning, we will provide small pastries that you can enjoy with your coffee and tea in your room or on the patio. The patio is reserved for guests and has a table, chairs and umbrella.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
While we both work part-time, we will, whenever possible, personally welcome you and help you to get oriented. We are happy to answer your questions and give you ideas about what to do while you are in the County, including visiting wineries, galleries, shops, beaches, parks and more.
If you have specific restaurants or wineries that you are looking forward to visiting, please be sure to call them in advance. Many restaurant tables are booked well ahead and wineries may be closed for private events.
Please do not hang wet clothing or towels on wood furniture. Instead, use clothes hooks or towel bars in the bathroom. Thank you.
Formerly a business writer, I now program alternative films for Cinefest Picton. Cinefest is affiliated with the Toronto International Film Festival's (TIFF) Film Circuit outreach program. I also program documentaries in association with Hot Docs in Toronto. It is a pleasure to be a small part of the vibrant arts and cultural community here.
My husband and I enjoy cooking. We are fortunate to live in Prince Edward County with its abundance of locally grown and produced food and wine.
