This heavenly little apartment is very centrally located, right near subways and busses that can transport you anywhere in the city in no time: 10 minutes subway ride to the center of downtown, 5 minute subway ride to the stop near Vigeland sculpture garden, 5 minute subway ride to Munch museum. Storo shopping center is a 5 minute walk. A direct bus from Oslo airport stops 2 minute walk from the apartment. This new, quiet & airy space is great for couples or 2 singles or a family with 1 teenager
If you only have 1 day to see Oslo try this: You may want to consider just buying a 24 hr. pass on Oslo`s public transportation, that way you can easily get around fast, so you can see as much as possible during your short visit. The Vigeland sculpture garden is definitely worth a visit "Frognerparken" as we natives call it. It is free. Take the subway # 4 or # 5 going west 4 stops to "Majorstuen" and make a right onto Kirkeveien as you exit the main exit of the subway station.(go up the ramp). The park is about 500 meters on your right after 2 intersections. If you want to see the ski jump. and the ski museum go back to the subway station and take the "Frognerseteren" # 1 line to "Holmenkollen". Take the subway all the way downtown to "Jernbanetorget" and go see the new opera house. It is really beautiful. If you cross the bridge on the sea-side of the opera, you will find your way to the outdoor beach "Sørenga" that I mentioned to you. Aker brygge is also a nice place to see. The castle, city hall and the fortress are all downtown as well. I think That should fill your day. Enjoy!

My husband and I own the apartment that our daughter is living in. I am a medical illustrator and my husband is a librarian. Our daughter is going to college here in Oslo and will move home when the apartment is being rented out through airbnb. She will be your host. We have stayed in several Airbnb places and we really like the concept. We hope that you will respect our place and treat it as you would your own home.
