I stayed at Orif's apartment with a colleague for 2 weeks in April/May 2017. The apartment is spacious and accurately depicted in the photos. One of the bedrooms is very large and the other is a nice size. The one bathroom has a washing machine, bath/shower, basin and toilet and the other has a toilet with basin - which is a nice combination. The kitchen is small, but well equipped. We cooked most of our meals there. There is plenty of space to hang clothes on the balcony to dry.
Orif met us at the airport at 6 am on a Sunday morning and then showed us around the flat and the neighbourhood. His English is limited, but was good enough for us to understand the basics. He also responded to the few requests we made for help quickly.
Outside the entrance to the flat is a Bee Line Cellphone shop and the owner speaks good English and is helpful. I recommend getting your cellphone card there (there is no wifi in the apartment).
When we were in Dushanbe we could not draw cash from the ATMs, so I recommend taking USD or EUR in cash with you. Orif showed us where to change money.
The apartment is in a very convenient location. Within 5 minutes walk there are two supermarkets. Across the road there are lots of small shops and stalls selling fruit and vegetables. Therefore along with the supermarkets you can buy most things you could need during a short stay within a three minute walk from the apartment.
The apartment is next to a central taxi meeting/pick-up point - so it is easy to get to and from most places in Dushanbe from the apartment.
There is a very nice market within a 15 minute walk from the apartment. We bought a lot of food there and had lots of fun at the market. I recommend visiting the market at least once.
The apartment is a short walk from the well known Rudaki park, which is most definitely worth a visit. There are also a few restaurants close to the flat along Rudaki, but I can't comment on them.
