May`s house is a very modern, beautiful and clean house, with lots of space both indoors and outdoors. We came as two families, 4 adults and 3 kids (2x 3 years, and 1x 1 year) and she had prepared for them by bringing lots of toys for them and ice cream in the freezer. Very nice. The smallest kid slept in a baby cot we brought, and the two others slept in the smallest bedroom or on mattresses by the parents beds. There's only one big bedroom, the two others are smaller, with smaller beds. Kitchen is brand new, as well as toilets and sofas etc. There's even an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The garden is beautiful, with a gas-grill and a large table for those summer evenings.
We brought our own bikes and bike-trailers for the kids, which we used a lot to get around. The area is 100% flat, with gravel roads close to the house, and with tarmac elsewhere. It's truly a perfect spot to do workouts, either with road-bike or jogging. Several paths around the ocean or in the nearby woods made for perfect jogging.
The beach in 300m from the house, and you get there by a beautiful path and a small bridge crossing some wetlands. It's truly the most small-kid friendly beach I have every been to, with a beautiful, very shallow beach stretching for miles. We used the closest spot to the closest bridge, but theres several other options, including Gudminrup Beach, which has a nice kiosk with burgers etc. You can walk 200m out and still not have waist-deep water.
The area around also has plenty of stuff do to, with Sommerland Sjælland (great place for kids 3-12). A surprisingly nice zoo, fish markets, horse riding, golf, + We spent 2 weeks there in July, and could not be happier. Danish weather has no guarantees, but we did get some nice beach days and some nice excursions around the area.
