House Rules

1. All bookings require a security deposit of $300 or more. You will not be charged for this in advance.

2. For security purposes, we require all guests to provide proof of identification through ID verification on our website. In order to check in, all guests must complete this process before 6 pm on the day of arrival.

3. Guests can cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, or cancel anytime up to seven days before the start of your trip and receive a 50% refund. Trips cancelled fewer than seven days in advance are not eligible for refunds. If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, please reach out to our team, as this refund has to be processed manually.

4. Check-in time is any time after 4 pm. Check-out time is any time before 11 am. You're welcome to request an early check in or late checkout, but this is not guaranteed and we can only confirm 24 hours in advance.

5. We do not allow smoking; breaking this rule will incur a $300 fine.

6. Most of our locations do not allow pets.

7. Generally, parties or excessive noise are not allowed in our locations. It may be possible to obtain permission to host a party; contact our team to learn more.

8. If a location is left in an exceptionally messy state, we will charge $40 for every extra hour of cleaning required.

9. Guests are not allowed to book a stay in their city of residence.

10. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises. Guests recognize that they may personally purchase insurance to protect themselves in such events.

11. If more guests sleep at a location than the number originally stated in the booking, the security deposit will be charged in full.

12. If you notice anything that presents a danger that could result in damage to the location or to any individuals, let us know immediately.

13. If guests delay the cleaners from beginning their cleaning at the predetermined check-out time, guests will be charged $50. This fee is applied to any late checkout between 11 am and 1 pm. Any guest who is still in the location after 1 pm will be charged for an extra night. This does not apply if our team has approved a late checkout in advance.

14. When you make a reservation with us, you are agreeing to all of the above House Rules.

Great apartment. Wifi was a bit slow, not good for streaming video but worked for most other things.

This property is in one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago and near some of our favorite places in the city. Really convenient to use public transportation - bus stop directly outside the property that takes you to the El station a few blocks away. Checking in and accessing the property was the easiest we've dealt with in an AirBnB. The place is incredibly clean, new appliances. The only place to eat was a kitchen bar, which was perfect for my husband and myself, but would be challenging for a family - and with bunk beds in the second bedroom, it would be a good place for a family to stay. Our only complaint was that the towels were very low quality, which was out of character for the rest of the apartment.

This is our second time staying at this listing, first time during the fall season. The place was very clean, and amenities were as listed. The only issue we had was with the heating of the apartment and the hot water in the shower. The water was hot, but because the weather was cold we wanted a steam shower, but the shower faucet only allowed us to go half-way to the hot setting. The heater in the apartment also did not go above 68 degrees when we wanted at lest 80. Our stay was comfortable in all, and figured the heating was set the way it was because of energy costs.

We really enjoyed the location of the apartment, and the apartment itself. It is large enough for a family of four sleeping two in a bunk and two in a master bedroom. Having a washer and dryer at our disposal was a lifesaver because we didn't pack very many clothes. The bathroom was immaculate with a large tile shower, hot water, brand new sink and toilet. The lighting throughout the whole apartment made us feel right at home. We were pleased that our host provide towels, shampoo, soap, and body wash. We also made use of the kitchen taking advantage of the gas range, microwave, coffee and hot water pots, pots and pans, and the various dishes. This really helped with preparing breakfast, which helped us save money. The only complaint we have is that we couldn't operate the dishwasher, but that isn't your fault. We do not own one, so thankfully you provided dish soap, a sponge, and dish rack. The full size fridge allowed us to purchase and store groceries, especially ice cream. We also discovered the water filter in the fridge which we took advantage of. Regarding the location, we rode the Blue Train line around, which was about a 15 minute walk to Damen Station. It may seem far, but it was convenient because you couldn't hear the noise of the train passing. I didn't realize we were next to a hospital which is a benefit in my book.

Fantastic experience with this Airbnb. I would definitely recommend it for any of my friends visiting Chicago!
