As advertised, Marc's property provides campers with everything you could want for a river experience. Having a fully stocked kitchen meant we could just show up with our food and not have to worry about anything else. The cabins were perfect for those who needed a full nights rest. The river was epic!

This campsite is a gem! We were on a road trip, and had nothing but clothes, and then BOOM we're camping. Absolutely everything we needed was available for fantastic camp cooking & camp fire, plus a vintage steel sink cabinet with drainboards --outside-- hooked up to fresh running water. The river is very majestic, with private access for swimming -- it felt like we were the only people for miles. Highly recommend & would love return. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Huge camp ground in the middle of nature. Our BEST camping experience. Two cabins with double beds. Quiet and safe, right next to river. Not much bugs as usual nature campgrounds should have, probably because of the beautiful redwoods on the land. Lots of chairs and tables and kitchen tools. Super hospitable owners. They treated us with s’mores too. :-) Best part was that the two little boys (4 & 5) had lots and lots of playgrounds and toys to play with and let us focus on the fun of gathering. It was much larger than our party of 8. Also many different games / books to play with. The river behind the land is priceless! We walked in the water, making unforgettable memories. Hope we can get to go back. Super recommended place to stay for families with or without kids.

We stayed with our two kids and another couple with two kids. The children played literally from the minute they got out of our car to the moment to we put them back in three days later - with the obvious exceptions of eating, making S'mores, sleeping, and going to the river. All four children really loved being there and seemed to find endless ways to entertain themselves. The two cabins were a great relief from setting up a tent and sleeping in a tent. The other couple had a camper trailer, so my wife and I split the two cabins with our girls. They work great with 2 people per cabin. Along with the shower and clean restrooms, it allowed us to truly relax and was a definite upgrade from camping. The one downside was black widows in the small playhouse. The area is so perfect for kids, and therefore we were constantly keeping them from going near it. All of the extra games and toys and slides and things were truly awesome for the children - this was the one exception. I can say overall this was the one place on our 12 day vacation through Northern California where we were the most relaxed. It is very private and secluded, and minutes from groceries and dining, and coffee.

If You ever have the opportunity to bring your friends and family to the miranda campground you will be delighted beyond believe. The scenic views are amazing. The guest houses have everything you need for a comfortable night's sleep, the facilities are in excellent working order. The best part is the private river access where you will find shallow waters for younger kids and camp chairs and also deeper waters for swimming all within a few hundred yards of the access point. Mark and Jeanette were the most kind and gracious hosts and went out of their way to accommodate us in every way possible. The hot showers make mornings so enjoyable and the flushing toilets are a luxury not often found in these environments. My daughters and friends all want to come back and do this every year.
