Description

Le logement

We are a young Anglo-Italian family who love meeting people from all over the world and introducing them to life on and around our little farmstead. We welcome backpackers and all independent travellers who want to see, hear, touch, smell and of course taste an authentic slice of the Italian countryside.
We have a large room with three single beds (two of which can be combined to make a double), with its own en-suite bathroom. Also includes a fourth, pull-out bed, free wi-fi, community bookshelf and tourist information. This room is located on the ground floor and has independent wheelchair friendly access. It is adjacent to the kitchen where you are free to use the fridge and cooking facilities. There is no TV in the guest room but it may be possible to watch one of the two TVs with satellite channels in the kitchen and living room.
The main part of the house was built in the 1950s and we have renovated it over the past 10 years. We are continuing to add to and improve the property. We have furnished it with a mix of antique and contemporary pieces, lots of colour, pictures, photographs, old maps, vintage clocks and so on.
Outside there is a terrace where we eat in the summer, a vineyard, vegetable garden and goat enclosure. When the weather is fine you can sit outside and enjoy the views across the valley, wander around the farmyard or walk up to the village which is known for its murals, medieval castle and great food and wine in its various bars and restaurants.
There are walking routes along the roads and tracks and through the fields nearby. The nearest bus stop is half an hour away on foot and from there you can get to Imola or Bologna. We also have bikes you can borrow to explore the area but with a hire car you would be able to discover even more of the surrounding countryside and smaller towns and villages of Emilia Romagna.

Règlement intérieur

* The only real restriction is no smoking in the house, but you are free to smoke outside. *There is no curfew at all, you have your own key and private access to your room from outside so you can come and go as you please.
*Use of the washing machine is free of charge but preferably overnight or on a half hour programme during the day.
*There is no TV in your room - aren't there better things to do there than watch TV? There is free wi-fi though and you can also watch TV in the kitchen which is the communal room next to your bedroom.
*There is a kettle for making tea and coffee in the room and you are welcome to use the fridge and cooking facilities in the kitchen too.

Great place with Warmly welcome, difficult to find house due to the mis location of map (following Victoria institution is very important), winery yards are all around us and very close to Dozza!

A perfect getaway if you're wanting to get out of the hustle & bustle for a bit, however, still very central to get around & explore! We spent 4 nights here & explored Dozza, Imola, Bologna & Milan. The family welcomed us & were very accommodating & helpful. We loved it & definitely recommend staying here!

I love vintage clothes and retro styling in general - I got married in a white trouser suit à la Bianca Jagger and one of my first cars was a 1959 turquoise Morris Minor.
One of my favourite things is making (and eating!) comfort food: everything from porridge oats to vegetable soup, mashed potato, chocolate cakes and fruit crumbles.
I like to make sure people feel at ease and enjoy their time here and will do everything I can to ensure you have a comfortable, memorable stay.
